About this image

soooo I've decided to try and overhaul the whole of Pelican Town's exterior. It is VERY early days yet! But I thought i'd put my first image out there to get a feel for what people like. 
I live in London, England. All our buildings are brick and/or stone- you rarely see wooden buildings here (they'd blow down and get soggy!) so i'm going for a British feel for the building bases. However I won't just make the town all red brick and boring- i'll be adding colourful flourishes like ivy, honeysuckle and general deco that varies with each season. 
Anyone else out there like the London brick look? any suggestions, tips, picture references they'd like to see? Any and all ideas welcome my lovelies!
P.s. the above house is not complete, I need to add shading around the roof trim
