ModNPC Skin (1 2) :

[NPC] The Farmer's Children Art - Deluxe/loads/(1st and 2nd) parent/(1st and 2nd) modparent -make a copy of this and change name to mod npc spouse name
do what the name says to do. make a copy and change the name of the copy to the modded npc spouse.
now
[NPC] The Farmer's Children Art - Deluxe/assets/(Characters and Portraits)/(Female and Male)/Change to NPC Spouse Name
change that folder to NPC spouse name... like the name of the folder says.
inside that folder you just renamed is two more folders. Skin and What ever you want the config hair option to be
change the What ever you want the config hair option to be folders name to... What ever you want the config hair option to be
now
add you custom made art to the skin folder and the new named hair folder
the hair .png needs to be called base. look at other folders for examples
now change the config to match the skin.png name and the hair folder name
if you mess up the name of the skin there will be an error and not work at all. if you mess up the name of the hair it will just not show up.

You can use generic mod config menu in your game to change the looks while playing, but if you change skin name to something that doesn't exist, your game will crash.
