Currently Working on Coffee \ Tonic addiction, might be out around next week. I have finished up the rework on festival day system, so you now only get full if you attend one(will be released at same time as the Coffee \ Tonic Addiction is done). Currently I am playing trough one year of Stardew Valley(I'm about halfway) to see how the mod is balanced and working etc. Also working on having the hungervalue reduced based on how much stamina you've used(optional and configurable, like all things with the mod).
Other planned things:
- Optional hunger system that affect your max stamina, instead of your actual stamina(Tied in with the hang-over system).
- HungerBar(Not very important IMO, but if hunger will affect maxStamina, it'll be a bit more important).
- Addiction to coffee(requiring your daily dose or your energy \ max energy will suffer).
- Addiction to Tonics
If you have something you'd like to see around the idea of consumption \ this mod, feel free to leave a comment and I just might implement it :).

Not something tiny, like a Spring Onion or a Salmonberry, so there'd need to be a threshold. But I was figuring, like, maybe 100-200 stamina' worth of food would be sufficient (configurable thresholds). Maybe like this:
If you eat a sufficient amount of food each day, you never see any negative buffs. (Though possibly a "Well Fed" buff from eating a good amount. Move a tiny bit faster, use a tiny bit less stamina for tool use?)
If you eat some amount, but under the threshold, and then go to bed (or pass out), you wake up with a "Hungry" debuff. Less stamina refilled during the night, but there aren't any other effects right away... or maybe you move a tiny bit slower. If you eat a sufficient amount of food, the Hungry debuff goes away.
However, if you go to bed with the Hungry debuff still active, or if you go to bed having eaten nothing for the day, then you wake up with a "Starving" debuff. You've got practically no stamina, plus you move a bit more slowly. You can turn "Starving" to "Hungry" by eating something, and get rid of "Hungry" by eating a sufficient amount of food.
However, if you go to bed (or pass out) with the Starving debuff still active, then you wake up in the clinic (or have the doctor visit you), and you lose a whole day (as your body recovers). (Configurable consequence, of course.)
So that's what I'd like to see in a hunger mod. Just keep track of whether food (in general) has been eaten, or whether you've been going for multiple days without taking care of this basic necessity. I have no idea if this kind of mechanic is something that could work as a possibility for your mod or as its own mod or what, but it's what I've been hoping to find on here somewhere.
It'll also be done close to from the ground up, with a more unified concept that I feel fit more into the game. I'm most likely going to provide a visual indicator of the loss of total stamina when that happens(how I haven't decided, and we'll see what I come up with). By building from the ground up, I'll attempt to also develop it to support multiplayer. But we'll see(as I have no means to debug multiplayer).
Though I'm prioritising my own personal projects over modding these days.
With that said, I'm not opposed to the idea of expanding into and making it a bit more complex, by having checks and hunger reduction based on time and\or what the player is doing, but it'd be a seperate mod after this one is completed I think(wouldn't really fit with the theme of "simple hunger system" ;) ).
