About this mod

I enjoy farming and wanted a way to turn produce into seeds. Rather than simply have plants drop seeds, I opted for a simple workstation to extract seeds from produce. I also ran into some lag issues with large farms so created a way to make plants produce more in less space.

Usage:
This mod adds new crafting stations, "Seed Extractor" and "gmolab" that are craftable from the Crafting Table.

There are 2 tiers of Seed Extractor, one made of copper and the other steel, and 2 varieties of each.

Copper makes seeds at a 1:1 ratio.
Steel makes seeds at a 1:2 ratio. *The steel is required for the gmo lab.
The gmo lab halves most longer growing times and doubles production from each plant.

I've included a stonefurnace recipe that uses 1 cooked alien meat to create an item that will teach you the Seed Extractor recipe. Simply place 1 cooked alien meat into the stone furnace and press cook. This will give you the recipes for the copper extractor.

The steel extractor is learned after making the copper.

To extract seeds, simply place the plant produce into the input slot and press Extract.

After learning the steel extractor, put 1 cooked alien meat into the steel seed extractor in order to learn the recipe for the genetics lab.

The gmolab functions as a crafting table. It produces items that you then put in the steel seed extractor in order to get the seed to grow the plant. The item the gmolab produces is not plantable until a seed is extracted.

For ease of use, I made sugar work to make sugarcane seeds, even though that doesn't really work at all. Mushrooms and the 3 flower varieties are also working. I made a custom mushroom file that uses the same growing speed as flowers so it takes much less time to see a mushroom fully mature.

Installation Instructions:
v. Angry Koaloa - Download the file and extract into Starbound mods folder. There are now 2 folders in the zip. I separated the gmolab as an optional mod that you can simply not use if you want. If you want both, keep both folders. If you only want the seed extractor, simply delete the gmolab folder.
