  • Shadow of Pripyat (v0.9b)

    Shadow of Pripyat (v0.9b)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Kellervo713

Description: A small, compact modification to Call of Pripyat, which adds just over 20 unique weapons (akin to the unique weapons present throughout Shadow of Chernobyl, and Clear Sky to a lesser extent) and re-enables most of the faction armor - on top of which adding some content from Clear Sky, such as the CS-1 Body Armor. Unlike most modifications which seek to rebuild the game from the ground up, Shadow is meant to add a subtle twist to the game. Visually, there is little to no change, but on a gameplay level, most special characters become much more challenging fights and it adds a certain level of difficulty to otherwise easy fights. As it began with artifact modification in mind, it also ups the prices for most artifacts, while making them suitably more effective - there's more incentive to both sell and keep artifacts, resulting in some hard choices - especially as faction outfits often sacrifice protection for artifact containers, and vice versa. This mod has been tested for compatibility with: - Call of Pripyat Variation Mod (0.3) - works fine, stable, but some unique weapons may not spawn. - Call of Pripyat Atmosfear - works fine, no conflicts. I currently would not encourage using it alongside SMRTR Pripyat for stability reasons. New features in Version 0.9b are slightly larger squads, allowing A-Life to be more confident and bold - artifact hunting and faction conflicts occur more regularly as a result. Faction relations are also more dynamic - eventually, even without doing quests, you can improve or utterly destroy your relationship with a faction. Quest impact is also modified so that Loners or Bandits will become hostile upon completion of some quests.

    HARSH ZONE (0.3)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Lucian04

Enhanced AI that not only fights better, but also reacts better and can use weapon attachments, heal and do all sorts of other things that they normally couldn't do.. You know, like flatten your nose while stealing your weapon. Enhanced Player reactions to the world around him/her. Getting hit hard hurts and you'll notice it when your view wavers like a punching bag getting beaten to a pulp. Push your body too hard and sleep deprivation will start to take effect, drink too much and you might pass out somewhere you really don't want to. You get the idea. Enhanced Damage reaction based on body parts. Why should getting hit in the neck do the same damage as getting hit in the arm? Now vital areas and joints take more damage, ending fights quicker and more brutally than before.. Beware though, what affects the NPC's also affects you. Minimalistic Hud with only the features a player should have to constantly monitor.. Want a map, pull out your PDA, otherwise stop complaining and go play a pansy mod. Trade is now not useless.. Ammo and Medkits are scarce amongst your victims and now you won't recieve any weekly "Gifts" after completing two certain achievements.. Now you must rely on the likes of Owl and Hawaiaan to get your necessities. Artifacts can now be found on the bodies of your victims.... But, just to be fair, the chance of finding artifacts on dead bodies is even less than the respawning of artifacts in anomalies after a blowout. And to compensate for the fact that you can find artifacts in other places, their trade price has gone down 50%.. Have fun earning enough money for that precious CS-1 suit. Gimped Start. Your Commanding Officer was a cheap bastard and offered you no equipment and only basic essentials that would last a couple days. With your trusty PM and dapper Leather Jacket, you head out into the zone like the bad ass you are, who needs equipment when you're just plain amazing? More realistic carrying weights.. Your maximum rate for running is 30KG before you start suffering from massive stamina loss. Your maximum rate for walking is 45KG before you start suffering from minor stamina loss while walking. Suits will obviously compensate for that short coming, but now more than ever, Energy drinks should be in your inventory. The last thing you need on your mind is having to run away from a pack of Psuedo Dogs only to have to stop every 30 steps because you decided you wanted to play Captain Pack Rat.. Pick and choose your essentials wisely. Traders have become more stringent in their weapon return policies btw, so don't go around picking up every tom, dick and MP5 you find during your adventures.. Take the ammo and move on, best advice you'll ever get.

Roughly two years ago SureAI - an indie studio from Munich, Germany - released their massive project called Enderal - The Shards of Order - a total conversion mod for Skyrim. Since then, hundreds of thousands of players have been able to explore the completely new story and world of Enderal, embarking on entirely new adventures, separate and distinct from the lore of the Elder Scrolls series.
