SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a great game but there are some issues like the somewhat sluggish movement, pacing issues and grindy achievements that make it feel slow. Refilled started off as a simple mod that increased the jelly amounts that you got from enemies and decreased the amounts in a few achievements to make Full Completion more bearable, but it quickly became a huge project that grew in scale as I found more values that I could change to improve the overall experience for both casual players and speedrunners of this game. There is also a lite version of the mod that doesn’t include the moveset changes. If there is anything that you want changed or any issues that arise with this mod, please let me know.
Here is a list of changes made to the game with this mod:
Ability Changes (Not Included in The Lite Version):
- Faster Moveset ~ The following actions have been made faster: Walking, Dialogue/Cinematic Skip, Bubble Spin, Bubble Dash/Dodge Roll, Bubble Throw, Bubble SurfBoard, Karate Kick (Target Radius has also been increased horizontally and vertically), Lasso Swinging, and Sliding.
- Faster Mounts: The Seahorse and Rolling Rock are now quicker.
- Reworked Jumping ~ Higher Max Jump Height. Longer Coyote Time. Jumping after a Bubble Dash gives you a higher jump and jumping after a Ground Pound gives you even more height.
- Reworked Pizza Glide ~ The Pizza Glide is now not only faster with less cooldown and deceleration, it now slowly ascends instead of descending. On top of that, Hold Activation has been removed to prevent jumps getting cut in half unintentionally. To balance out all of these buffs, you can’t glide for as long as you can in the base game.

- Tikis ~ 3 Jellies to 10 Jellies
- Jelly ~ 2 Jellies to 10 Jellies

- Train Chase ~ Removed the extra doubloon on the Train (RIP to the Easter Bunny)
- Backlot ~ Restores the original 2D/Street Fighter Skip the Pre-Release version of the game by removing the invisible walls above the entrance. Moves both the Fortune Cookie and the Doubloon to the beginning of the section.

- Main Street ~ Removes the invisible walls around the buildings.
Minigames:

Hidden Tricks:
- Spin Dash ~ Doing rhythmic presses of the Dash Button and the Spin Button to quickly attack while retaining the Forward Momentum from the spin and the Invincibility Frames of the dash.
- Pound Dash Jump ~ Pressing the jump button and the Bubble Dash at the same time when you hit the ground from a Ground Pound will combine the Jump Velocity of all three moves for the highest jump alongside the forward momentum of the Dash.
- Bubble Cancel ~ Doing a spin during the Bubble Throw animation will cancel it, allowing you to throw another bubble faster. This can be repeated to throw even more bubbles at a time.
- Pound Dash Glide ~ Perform a Pound Dash Jump then immediately activate the glide to get the maximum height.
Upcoming Features(?):
- Localization Changes for the other languages
- Full Movement Audio Layer Implementation.
- Fixing that Collision Bug that occurs when you ground pound onto a slide.
- Dynamic/Variable Jumping
- Reworked Level Design to better accommodate the buffed moveset.
- Expansions to levels that felt incomplete.
- New Doubloons & Costumes
- Revamped bosses
Do note that I’m not experienced enough in modding to fully implement these features yet (nor am I bilingual). I do want to get these features at some point when I do properly learn programming (beyond just messing around with values in UAssetGUI).
I hope that you enjoy SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake Refilled.
