Here's a few other QoL mod ideas that I don't have the knowledge/experience to implement, in case anyone reading this has the skills and wants suggestions:
- Boat:
- Button to show an arrow for where all the passengers are.

- Toggleable on-screen checklist when you're in a location, so you don't have to keep checking your boat's map to see what you've missed.

- Smithy:
- Rework to improve visual feedback, atm the visual feedback is the worst of all minigames.
- Reduce timer for cooking metals before hammering.
- Tools:
- Make pickaxe hits only take 1 full strength hit, and stop the pickaxe exploding if you charge if too long (just auto swing when it's at max strength instead).

- Fishing:
- Rework so that the fishing line doesn't break, but when it becomes red you reel things in slower instead. Atm it's too hard to figure out what you're actually meant to do (I learned from an online comment that when it's red, you should tap the reel button, but that wasn't explained).

- Map:
- Allow you to fast travel to a Bus Stop from anywhere on the map. Not being able to do this makes travel far too slow and makes you not want to explore the outer edges because it takes too long to get back to a Bus Stop.
- Some kind of marker (either automatic or player-placed) to show when you need an ability at a location to progress.
- General:
- Remove dash cooldown.
- Reduce the end animations of lots of things, so that you spend less time locked out of your controls. For example: the pickaxe exploding, pulling plants out of the ground, hitting the water, after catching a fish. The vanilla end animations for these actions, and others, just drags on too long.
- Double the materials acquired from various buildings, especially the Smithy. There are upgrades to do this, but they come way too late to save you from the grind, so they could just give 4x the output instead.
- GUI & Menus:
- Add tracking for Francis' errands.
- In shops, show the amount you currently hold.
- Allow looping over rows (eg. pressing right when the last item in a row is selected should take you to the first item in the next row).
- Inventory: Add tab groups (Special, Food, Construction). Press LT/RT to swap tab groups. This would be much faster than pressing RB like a dozen times just to get from letters to metals.
- Cooking: Preview the recipe if you've already cooked it.
- General: Show more items on screen at once. Especially for the Foundry, which only shows a single row at once.
