    "You must install .NET Desktop Runtime to run this application."
    so i have installed .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.15 and still getting this message.
    please dont tell me this works only on specific version of a 32-bit .NET runtime it in the error msg suggests.

    Is there any way to increase max level cap, or its is hardcoded in .exe?

    Has anyone figured out how to create new units and items? Like, I can add new items/units/spells in the appropriate lists in the GameData Editor, but they won't have any models and I don't think they even show up in game. I've successfully made a custom Rune Hero, but how do I make a unique one like Gitzo or Blade Minion? I've encountered spells that were never implemented, but once I give them to a custom Rune Hero, their spell bar remains empty (while other spells work totally fine).

    When I use Asset Viewer and GameData Editor together I can see the models of each unit/item/building/etc. but there doesn't seem to be a link between the two that I could copy (so I could give the asset/model to another custom creation for example). But maybe I'm just blind?

      load the Data file, tab "item generation info" -> "go to item UI" registers the icon in the inventory. without closing GameDataEditor, open SQLModifier -> sql_item -> select the number of your item and actually register its animations and model, see how other items are registered by analogy. there is a bug - magic animations on weapons are not displayed, I did not find how to fix it

      I found a ready-made solution after studying the Spellforce Reborn files. The folder figure_template\starterkit contains starting sets of equipment and spells

    Hello, I found where the game directory is but when I try to specify it, it won't show up saying theres nothing there. Any idea why that is?

    a question arose - how to change the starting set of equipment? I did not find where to change the ID of the items

      If anywhere, it would likely be somewhere in the Lua scripts, but, much like editing base stats for the avatar or changing the thing they gain on a level up, I feel like it's hardcoded into the game itself, and cannot be edited using this tool. Or at least, that's based on one of the comments I saw here before.

    After editing for a while I tried to play the game with the edited GameData but for some reason my Avatar's health is set to 0/0. This is especially strange because I spent some time looking for data specific to the Avatar, and couldn't find any. Nothing in the '2048 Player level scaling' was edited, so I don't see what's causing this. Looking at what changed in comparison using the Compare Gamedata with an original backup, I don't see anything specifically which could have caused this either. Can anybody help?
    Could it be related to the 'Spellforce LUA Sources Master' I downloaded with all the scripts? I placed them on a completely different drive, so it would be strange if the game interacted with those. Especially since I also didn't edit those (as I'm having difficulty finding anything in them).

    *Edit: Another issue seems to be that all NPCs are turned into Fallen Hero in the cinematics/opening scenes, and are also not placed in the world afterwards. The moment I copy back the original GameData however, they work again. What is going on here?
    **Edit: From what I can see in the Map Editor, whenever I use Open Script on a NPC ID, it tells me the script doesn't exist yet. It then wants to make a script for p6666 which leads me to believe that Map Editor doesn't know what ID each map has, which in turn could lead to scripts not being properly read. Seems unlikely, as the opening scene does have the audio and camera movements, it's just missing every actor except my avatar. And like I said before, going back to using the original GameData makes it work again.

      I seem to have resolved the issue through one of three ways (as I fixed many things before I checked if it was working again). Possible solutions in order of likelihood:

      • In '2022 Race stats', the ID of Race Player had accidentally been set to 101 (not sure what caused that exactly)
      • In '2024 Unit general data/link with unit stats' the ID of Merchant Lendunot was set to completely different one.
      • I opened up the Greyfell map in the Map editor, and immediately saved it, overwriting its original file.
      In general, one of my actions in the gamedata editor seems to change the ID of the first entry. Maybe something to do with me using Tab frequently, or the Search and Reference functions, but it all seems unlikely. I never actively edited any of the IDs myself, so I know that can't be it.
  7. I've made a overhaul mod, which I haven't uploaded yet, it has taken me a longtime to make. using the game data editor. When it is done, and i finally upload it or at least for WIP testing purposes [even though I've done a lot myself]. Would you like credit?

    Hi, I get an error while saving gdsrtscoopspawngroups.lua. I have already tried some things like get an old version of spellforce, running your program like an admin. It seems the old versions worked for me. I am currently playing with the steam version.

    If you could upload old versions or telling me what do to fix that, I will thank to you.

    Hello, I would like to ask, how do you add custom rune heroes to game? I tried to copy most stats from other rune (aside from Id, which I just increased by 1), created rune stone, and even linked it with text, but it ended up as default male with 0 all stats (also equipment slots were locked aside from boots, and rune was invisible)

    Hey! Is there any chance you'll add slope-based-paint tool to your newest update? It was the most convenient tool ever, but I can't find it anywhere now :(
