About this mod
increases max fleet size (ship points) from 8 to 24

It was made for 12.4, not for 15.x. And I do not plan to update it in the near future.
I will leave it online because if someone wants to do something similar themselves they will find all the info about which tools can be used to do it and how to change the byte code. But that is the only reason.
(If somebody rebuilds this kind of change in a mod for the newest version, please let me know and I'll take this mod offline. Thanks.)
--------------------------------
Do you want to test your micro management skills to the max with this jewel of a game? Now you can.
Features:
- increases max available ship points from 8 to 24
- works when claiming vessels as well as when creating new ships
- If you build 24 small ships or a few large ones is up to you
- can be done at any point in your game - you do not have to start a new game
I recommend not to create a fleet larger than 12 ships. The UI can barely handle 12 ships and at some point the buttons simply become too small to click.
Installation:
- quit the game in case it is running at the moment
- unpack the archive of this mod's download section in some temporary directory
- in a second window navigate to your spacehaven directory
- most important: create a backup copy of spacehaven.jar - call it spacehaven.jar.orig or something --> this is your ticket for rolling back any changes you do - DO NOT MISS THIS STEP - GO SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP BEFORE APPLYING ANY CHANGES
- open spacehaven.jar with WinRar
- in WinRar navigate to the same sub directories this mod's archive unpacked (e.g. fi\bugbyte\spacehaven\gui\popups)
- veryfiy that there is already a file with the same exact name in that location by reading the file names in WinRar
- overwrite the file in spacehaven.jar with the one of this mod by dragging and dropping it into WinRar
- ...do this for all files this mod provides (there are 2 - one changes the hard coded value when creating a new ship, one changes it when claiming a derelict ship)
- Done
Uninstall:
- rename the changed spacehaven.jar to something else
- rename spacehaven.jar.orig (or whatever you called the backup you definitely created before applying any changes!) back to its original name
Known Bugs:
- Because of some quirks of the tools I used for editing Java bytecode there is now an open bracket "(" too much in a notification displayed in case you try to claim a ship needing more unspent ship points than you have left ...I guess one can live with a typo ...I can - and I do not plan to "fix" it
Let me know if something doesn't work out for you in the comments.
Have fun!
