I opened an issue on DXVK's github page, you can share your logs on the same issue, it might help the devs if they have time to look at them.

To people saying it made your game slower or lagging.

You have to let the game build up the shader cache for Vulkan.

It'll stutter and lag until the cache is built, but once it's built, I now have a solid 60 FPS.

Just a question how would I know if or when its done with that, so I can tell if the mod works for me or not. just gauge the time or?

      @Baults

It does it constantly as you're playing. When new effects occur on screen you will notice some stutter as it adds the effects to your shader cache. Performance will seem worse at first but once it's all built it should hopefully be smoother.

Gotcha, I'll probably let it run through a normal playthrough like I would normally, and see if it improves. thanks :D

I wish I could just share my shader cache from my game. I flew from one end of the map to the other, building up the vulkan shaders.

The average performance loss for the 3070 with this "improver" on max graphic sets is 12% (dx11: 40 fps, dxvk2.4(vulcan): 35 fps) - these are the expected losses(i see a similar picture for dota2) :D
the loss in cpu performance is less than a percent (0.5% for intel 4690).
if enable dynamic resolution, then this technology will offset the loss of performance from using vulcan

    Hi all,

    Hope someone can help.

I've tested this mod and it works great! Vulkan loads in, after you played a game for a bit and the shaders have compiled, the game runs very well.

I'm trying to revert it back to normal as DLSS looks better than FSR 3 IMO. The issue I'm having is this:

       1) I deleted the "dgxi.dll" and "d3d11.dll" modded files and replace with original ones.

       2) When I launch the game, this is the error I'm getting "Couldn't switch to requested monitor resolution - Switching to resolution 1280x720 failed
    Screen: DX11 could not switch resolution (1280x720 fs=1 hz=0/1)"

       3) If put the modded files back, game will run but in Vulkan.

I'm guessing there's an easy fix as I haven't seen anyone else made this comment. If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please shine some light.
  5. i was getting around 50fps, with this masterpiepiece im getting around 10, is it should be like that? will it get better? i used vulcan mod for several games, and its never was that bad
i think this mod only for better pcs, when u have gtx 970 like myself, the game will not be able to build up the shader cache or whatever, and u will still suck with 10fps even after an hour

In my testing it decreased fps by about 1 - 8 fps, depending on what i was doing, did multiple tests back and fourth, CPU utilization is higher with DX11 for me personally, GPU utilization is at 99% on both DX11 and Vulkan.

This may help, if your GPU is not fully utilized, i agree with the one users mentioning his game on 4k, when the GPU is capped, this dont seem to help too much, in fact it made it worse.

That said i noticed higher Utilization on the CPU via DX11 in my testing, so reverting to that for me permadeath playthrough to test this games new updates out.

Thanks for the packaging of this mod, and those of you reporting your analysis in the comments here.

I'm not sure if this works if you have sufficient CPU to drive your GPU to its maximum (like 99% gpu utilisation). Switched renderer to Vulkan for me, but FPS values doesn't increase. 50-70 FPS on 4K with every settings at max, 99% utilisation, rx 6800 xt. Tested both versions.

For some reason, dlss is gone when using vulkan. It shows up using DX11.

Nvidia dlss dll version: 3.1.1.0 (downloaded from TechPowerUp, latest version)

    Game Version: EarlyAcess.33002

DLSS requires Direct X to work natively, Vulkan requires things to be changed/tailored for it, bit more extra work, hence why it dont plug and play like DX11.

Game will support vulkan and DX12 in the future im sure, will work then, imo, if you got an RTX card, avoid vulkan here and stick with DX11 with DLSS, that will yield the best performance, vulkan can help certain CPU's and overall provide a very small improvment on top of DX11, but were talking 2 to 10 fps depending on the scene, im sure DLSS will yield more then that.

performance should increase when you explore more since it creates cache.

how long should i explore because i timed it and i did it for a little over a whole hour and still get 4-7 fps and it hurts my eyes doing that for an hour+  just watching frameskips like that and if i have to do it for  more than 2 hours then its seriously not worth it

dont use it anymore, it really depends on your system/gpu. Don't force ur system or yourself.

Awesome!! It work for me but, after long hours of playing ingame, the performance started to degrade, maybe after 30 min/ an hour after me testing it. Hopefully you can improve it furthermore because this is the best option for low end grade spec PC user..

Edit: I think I managed to fix my issue with the performance, I don't know why but somehow I can play more than an hour and so on without fps drop. I'm using the dll stuff from x86 folder instead of x64 folder.

It would work fine for me, if DLSS worked with it too. Once I had this mod working, the DLSS option completely dissapeared. Any way to make DLSS work with this? Thanks gang.

what does "Create a variable in "Environment Variables" named "DXVK_ASYNC" and set it's value to 1" mean?

    Edit: nvm, watched the video
