you can customize which mod to turn off, by default all are turned on.
mods 1 to 5 are to fix the game, mods 6 to 8 are optional mods that make the game easier.
8) Easy Stage (Mania + Encore) adds a 1-up box, just a little before every checkpoint before a boss battle. so if you die during a boss battle, you can get 1-up back.
