Running (not sprinting) stamina drain is introduced to Skyrim... - Running drains stamina. Running with any "armor" on torso drains more stamina, but less so (0.75x) if not wearing ANY "heavy" armor apparel. Running with FULL set heavy armor drains max stamina.(see long description for more explanation)
