About this mod

Nonessential patch to make the Necrotic Spirts created when killing NPCs with Desecration spells play nicely with undead/summons/homunculi from Dead and Daedric Guardians. As a side effect they are also now affected by I'm Walkin' Here or Disable Follow Collisions if used.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This patch is nonessential as the mods are compatible out-of-the-box, but helps synergise them.

Thematically, Dead and Daedric Guardians and Desecration fit well together. However, in practice, the necrotic spirts created when you kill NPCs with a desecration spells (after unlocking the perk using Ascension 1 or 2) end up fighting with guardians.

This is because they use spells with which they are prone to friendly fire, and they aren't setup as the kind of NPCs Guardians from DnD Guardians are designed to auto end combat with.

This mod makes the following changes to the necrotic spirits and their spells:

  • Labels them 'teammates'
    - makes them immune to damage from Guardians spells
    - flags them so that Guardian spells and melee attacks end combat with them if they do get into conflicts
    - as a side effect/bonus, means that they are affected by I'm Walkin' Here or Disable Follower Collisions if used.
  • Gives the same anti-friendly fire measures used by Guardians to necrotic spirts and their spells.
- their spells won't damage teammates (followers etc.) Guardians or the player
- their spells and melee attacks auto end combat with teammates, Guardians or essential NPCs

3. They are added to a Guardian Friendly Faction
- treated as allies by Guardians when they’re commanded to guard, hunt & destroy or massacre

Plus Version

The plus version (see files) includes all the same features as the regular patch, but also makes all Guardians immune to desecration spells, including those used by the player. Use one file or the other, not both.
