Please put this in the Bugs section. Did it get fixed? I noticed the time-gap of your "bug report", the other guys', and the responses from the creator. I guess it takes many years to indefinitely to fix the attack bug.
I am having the same problem as methven58, as soon as she sees me in Riften she attacks. She killed me three or four times as I tried different ways of calming her down. No luck. Finally my followers and I just beat her down but as soon as she recovers she attacks again. It really got weird when she started to follow me by sliding along the ground on her back when she was unconscious including into the Jarls palace. Finally I just left Riften. I will adjust her load order to see if that helps. If not I will have to delete her from the game.
