BloodyStigmata & Friends

[Intro]
Like many of you, I've been playing Skyrim since the original release. Over time I've made tons of characters, some of which have grown on me so much so that I wished I
could take them with me on a new playthrough. There was a mod for that in the 2011 edition of Skyrim, but since I've moved over to Special Edition I've been running around
without them. That made me sad. So I booted up the CK, followed some tutorials, did a bit of writing and now I'm here.
This was a personal project, and I didn't intend to upload it at the start, but I figured I would share because that's just what we do here on the Nexus. So if you want'em, have at them.
[Requirements]
Let's just get this out of the way first. You'll need;
-Fangs and Eyes - A Vampire Appearence Mod-
Half of these characters are vampires, because I really like vampires. This is the mod I use for their neat eyes and fangs. I COULD ask for permission to use the assets, but I don't want to.
This mod might work without it, but expect the black-face bug on all the vampires because it absolutely will occur.
-ApachiiSkyHair SSE-
Most of them use Apachii hairs. I don't feel like packing assets or asking for permission to use them. Besides, most of you already have this mod installed. (And if you don't, you really ought to)
[The Nitty Gritty]
This mod adds ten of my past characters as followers to the game, one for each of the default races. They're pretty generic as far as interactions go as they just use
the default follower dialogue and what not, but if you'd like to get to know them a little better I've provided each of these characters with a journal for you to read.
Each of the 11 journals all add up to make one cohesive story tying them all together. I am by no means a stellar writer, so don't go in expecting Steven King or George R.R. Martin. That
being said, you'll find some of the journals pretty dark, while others you might find cheesy, and at least one reads like a terrible romance novel. But hey, I had to come up with something. If nothing
else, all of the journals act as skill books, so they do have some practical use for those not interested.
As for stats and what not, they all have perks for both combat and conveniance. The mages use their own custom spells in addition to some vanilla ones, and a few have
unique pieces of equipment, each of which have proper tempering recipies as required. None of them can be disenchanted or sold, so don't get any funny ideas.
I'm not gonna lie to you, they're pretty darn strong. I lowered their base level to 10 from 40 and they're still pretty tough, and that was with their base equipment. I'd recommend maybe playing Legendary
difficulty. That's what I always play on, and that's what they were play-tested on. Some difficulty mods might also help. Other than that they have sandbox AI, faction data, relationship data, and a few can
be married. Those who can't are already married (to one of the other followers), or don't have compatible voices.
Further details will be provided below.
--------------------
The Characters
--------------------
[Boreas North-Wind, the Bloodskaal Bear]
Race: Nord, Werebear (He won't change into a werebeast, but he does have the passives.)
Skills: Two-Handed, Marksman, Heavy Armor, Block
Starting Equipment: 4-Piece stalhrim set, stalhrim war hammer, stalhrim bow, stalhrim arrow
Conveniance Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement
Marriage?: Yes
Location: Windpeak Inn, Dawnstar
-Description-
Boreas has perks for heavy armor, block, archery and war-hammers. Yes, war hammers. Don't try and be slick and give him a battle axe, because I didn't give him the battle axe or greatsword perks.
He smashes things. With big hammers. 'Cause that's what a real Nord would do. He'll mostly stick to using any war-hammer you give him (or other two-handed weapon, but we've been over this), but
he'll sometimes switch to his bow when at a distance, or when fighting airborne enemies like Dragons or Rocs (Don't you dare ask me what a Roc is).
[Dro'Shavir, the Tormentor]
Race: Khajiit, Vampire (Has vampire passives)
Skills: One-Handed (Maces), Heavy Armor, Conjuration, Destruction
Starting Equipment: Daedric armor, boots and gauntlets. Daecric Mace.
Conveniance Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement, Quiet Casting
Marriage?: No, and you really, really wouldn't want to.
Location: Mara's Eye Pond
-Description-
Dro'Shavir uses maces just like big daddy Molag Bal, and has perks for one-handed, destruction, conjuration and heavy armor. He can be a little trigger-happy with his reanimate spell, so
he'll sometimes use it too quickly and kill his zombie, but it works most of the time. Chalk it up to him being imperfect. He'll call a Dragon Priest every once in a while too, and has his own chaos
damage spells. Also, I gave him Soul Tear, because it fits almost a little too well.
-Spells-
Dro'Shavir's Mighty Reanimate (Resurrects target up to level 10k for 10 minutes)
Ultimate Vampiric Drain (Drain 25 Health, Magicka & Stamina + 75 health damage)
Dro'Shavir's Chaos Bolt (35 Fire, Frost & Shock Damge)
Dro'Shavir's Chaos Cloak (8 Fire, Frost & Shock Damage per second)
Summon Dragon Priest
Soul Tearing Shout
[Hercerilar, the Storm-Caller]
Race: Altmer
Skills: Destruction, Alteration, Sneak, Conjuration, Restoration
Starting Equipment: Basic robes, Hercerilar's Amulet of Stendarr
Conceniance Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement, Quiet Casting
Marriage: Yes
Location: The Ragged Flaggon
-Description-
Your typical High Elf storm mage (electromancer?). He uses vanilla lightning spells in addition to his own unique variant of chain lightning & lightning cloak. Will periodically summon a Storm Atronach or
Dremora Lord. Likes to keep his distance with magic, so don't expect him to go all Braveheart with a claymore, or else he's gonna end up like Mel Gibson. (And no one wants to end up like Mel Gibson.)
Has destruction, conjuration, alteration, sneak & restoration perks.
-Spells-
Sparks, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Thunderbolt
Hercerilar's Ultra Chain Lightning (100 damage, 15 ft. radius, no friendly fire damage)
Hercerilar's Lightning Cloak (20 pts shock per second)
Companion Ebony Flesh (300 pts armor rating, +200 with all mage armor perks)
Summon Storm Atronach
Greater Ward
Summon Dremora Lord
Companion Fast Healing (Heals 300 points)
[Larellia, the Ice Queen]
Race: Breton, Vampire (Has vampire passives)
Skills: One-Handed, Destruction, Alteration, Restoration, Sneak
Starting Equipment: Advanced mage gear
Convenience Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement, Quiet Casting
Marriage: No (Already married. Sorry boys & girls.)
Location: The Frozen Hearth, Winterhold
-Description-
She's my cryomancer, and uses ice spells along with the shared vampire drain spell. Has her own varient of Ice Cloak and Ice Storm. She'll switch to one-handed swords when enemies get too close.
She's probably one of, if not the most powerful companion on this list. Has destruction, alteration, restoration, sneak & one-handed perks. Don't go giving her anything other than ice magic.
Seriously, I'll be mad at you (inb4 let it go).
-Spells-
Frostbite, Ice Spike, Ice Storm, Ice Spear
Larellia's Ultra Ice Storm (100 damage, 15 ft. radius, no friendly fire damage)
Larellia's Ice Cloak (20 pts frost per second)
Ultimate Vampiric Drain (Drain 25 Health, Magicka & Stamina + 75 health damage)
Companion Ebony Flesh (300 pts armor rating, +200 with all mage armor perks)
Companion Fast Healing (Heals 300 points)
[Lilith, the Dawn Fang]
Race: Bosmer, Vampire (Has vampire passives)
Skills: One-Handed (Axes or Swords), Restoration, Marksman, Light Armor, Sneak
Starting Equipment: Dawnguard set, dual Dawnguard axes, advanced dwarven crossbow, dwarven bolts, Lilith's Amulet of Arkay
Convenience Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement, Quiet Casting, Shen gro-Olor's Training (50% less incoming stagger, 50% outgoing stagger)
Marraige: No (Already married)
Location: New Gnisis Cornerclub, Windhelm
-Description-
Lilith uses dual one-handed axes, bows/crossbows, and her own holy spells. In all liklihood though, she'll only use the holy spells, and then dual wield axes when enemies get too close. If you give her a
ranged weapon with high enough damage, she might cut down on her spell use, otherwsie she's going to nuke everything with holy light, and I do mean that quite literally. Has marksman, one-handed (axes!),
Sneak, Light Armor & Restoration perks.
-Spells-
Aedric Fury (100 holy damage, 15 ft. radius, no friendly fire damage. 50 additional damage to undead & daedra)
Aedric Aura (20 pts holy damage per second, +10 to undead & daedra)
Companion Fast Healing (Heals 300 points)
[Leonde Mercius, the Red Diamond Warrior]
Race: Imperial
Skills: One-Handed (Swords), Block, Light Armor, Marksman, Sneak
Starting Equipment: Penitus Oculatus set, Imperial Shield, Imperial Sword, Imperial Bow, Steel Arrows, Amulet of Stendar
Convenience Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement
Marriage: Yes
Location: Penitus Oculatus Outpost, Dragon Bridge
-Description-
Standard light armor sword & board. Has one-handed (sword), block, light armor, marksman and sneak perks. Pretty well-balanced as far as these characters go. Doesn't use magic.
[Vivith Rethrend, the Flame Goddess]
Race: Dunmer, Vampire (Has vampire passives)
Skills: One-Handed (Swords), Marksman, Destruction, Light Armor, Sneak
Starting Equipment: Scaled armor, boots & gauntlets. Advanced dwarven crossbow, dwarven arrows, Rethrend Family Blade.
Convenience Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement, Quiet Casting
Marriage: No (Already married :P)
Location: New Gnisis Cornerclub, Windhelm
-Description-
My pyromancer. Has perks for one-handed (Swords), light armor, destruction, sneak & Marksman. Vivith will mostly stick to using fire magic or the crossbow. When enemies get too close, she'll
usually break out the family blade with a spell in the left hand. Will use more and more spells as she levels, including her versions of Fireball & Flame Cloak.
-Spells-
Flames, Fire Bolt, Fireball, Incinerate
Ultimate Vampiric Drain (Drain 25 Health, Magicka & Stamina + 75 health damage)
Vivith Rethrend's Ultra Fireball (100 damage, 15 ft. radius, no friendly fire damage)
Vivith Rethrend's Flame Cloak (20 pts fire damage per second)
[Shen gro-Olor, the Wandering Warrior Monk]
Race: Orc, Vampire
Skills: Sneak, Restoration, Alteration
Starting Equipment: Footwraps, Ragged Trousers, Ring of the Iron Fist, Shen gro-Olor's Gloves of the Titan, Shen gro-Olor's Elder Scroll (Not Playable, Slot 47)
Conveniance Perks: Light Foot, Muffled Movement, Quiet Casting, Shen gro-Olor's Training (50% less incoming stagger, 50% outgoing stagger)
Marriage?: No (Already married)
Location: High Hrothgar
-Description-
The award for most fun companion goes to this guy. Uses unarmed only, as wells as restoration, alteration spells and shouts. Shen's equipment, perks and magic effects were designed to bolster
his unarmed damage, so he may be be a little strong at first, but should continue to even out as you go up in levels. I think he's at somewhere around 200 unarmed damage.
-Spells-
Shen gro-Olor's Training (Is a passive effect: Boosts unarmed damage)
Companion Ebony Flesh (300 pts armor rating, +200 with all mage armor perks)
Companion Fast Healing (Heals 300 points)
Disarm Shout
Unrelenting Force Shout
Ice Form Shout
Drain Vitality Shout
[Dread-Scale, the Master-at-Arms]
Race: Argonian
Skills: One-Handed, Two-Handed, Marksman, Block, Light Armor, Heavy Armor
Starting Equipment: Ebony Cuirass, Gauntlets, Boots, Shield, Greatsword, Bow, Arrows, Axe & Mace
Conveniance Perks: Light Foots, Muffled Movement
Marriage?: Yes
Location: Argonian Assemblage, Windhelm
-Description-
Best choice for a warrior if you don't have Amazing Follower Tweaks installed. Has all perks for all weapons and armor. Will spread points out evenly between the skills as he goes up in levels. Feel
free to give him whatever you want. Except for magic. He doesn't do magic.
[Zaphira al-Rihad, the Desert Valkyrie]
Race: Redgurd
Skills: One-Handed (Swords), Heavy Armor, Block, Marksman
Starting Equipment: Dragur Armor, Gauntlets & Boots. Alik'r Hood. Northwind (better Blades Sword), Tower of the Nine (better Blades Shield)
MARRIAGE?!: Yes, you can marry her. Finally a girl on my list you can get freaky in the sheets with.
Location: Silverblood Inn, Markarth
-Description-
Basically the heavy armor version of Leonde, except she gets unique starting equipment in Northwind & Tower of the Nine (Recognize them?). She's a badass. Not as badass as Dro'Shavir, Larellia or Shen,
but she's pretty fricken awesome all the same.
--------------------------------
Technical Q & A
--------------------------------
Q: X is attacking Y! Why is this happening?
A: As long as the companions are in your party, they will only attack and be attacked by targets that are hostile to you. If they're being attacked by certain people while NOT in your party, it's likely due to
the faction or relationship data I have set up. That was intentional, and their backstories could shed a little light on who might want to attack who. I will say this though, while your companions are NOT IN
YOUR PARTY, keep Dro'Shavir away from the other nine, becuase if you don't, all hell is going to break loose. Also keep him far away from Fort Dawnguard unless you're planning to murder-stomp them.
Q: I can't find Zaphira in the Silverblood Inn. Where is she?
A: I play-tested this mod about a hundred times, and this only happened to me once. I have no idea why it happened, and even after looking through the CK and TESVEdit, I can't figure it out why disappears.
However, exiting the game and loading it again seemed to solve it for me.
Q: Larellia has one voice, but when she follows me, she has another. What's gives?
A: This isn't my fault. The female sultry voice has always been bugged. Relationship Dialogue Overhaul can fix this.
Q: Dread-Scale isn't going back to the assemblage in Windhelm.
A: Bruh, I don't even know what to do about this one of it happens to you. I set him as part of their faction, gave him the key, gave him sandbox AI. I don't know what else to do. If that scale-back isn't
cooperating, then just dismiss him somewhere safe.
---------------------------------
Quality Q & A
---------------------------------
Q: Why are the journals are terrible?
A: I did tell you not to go in with high expectations, didn't I? If you meant terrible as in screwed up, then yeah, a couple are. Again, I did say they were pretty dark. Just don't read them if you're
not interested.
Q: Why so many vampires?
A: Becuase, these were MY characters, and I made this mod for myself. I like vampires. If you don't, try a different companion mod. There are plenty out there that are better than mine.
Q: I don't like the way X looks. Can you make them prettier?
A: No. I like them how they are now. I made this for me, remember?
Q: Why can't I use Shen's Elder Scroll?
A: Hey, Trinimac entrusted that to him. He can't just let anyone walk around with it haphazardly. They are all-powerful cosmic pieces of creation after all.
----------------------------------
Compatibility
----------------------------------
-Vampire Appearance Mods-
Because this requires BVFE, you're likely going to run into problems with character overhauls that edit vampire npcs, but that won't be my mods fault. As long as you have BVFE installed, then my mod
will work fine, but if you get dark-face on other characters, it's because BVFE is not playing well with them, and you likely need to switch up the load order. Most commonly, this occurs with WICO &
Better Vampire NPCs. For me, these mods work fine because I know how to edit them in TES5Edit without breaking my game.
-Ethereal Elven Overhaul-
I have no idea how compatible this is or how it works because I don't use it. If you do, and there are dark-face bugs, I can't help you. If not, then please upload screenshots of what my elves look like
because I'd like to see them.
-----------------------------
Mods Used In Screenshots
-----------------------------
ApachiiSkyHair: A requirment for this mod to function. It adds nice hair.
Fangs & Eyes - A Vampire Appearance Mod: The second and last requirement. Makes vampires looks awesome.
Beasts of Tamirel: Adds tons of lore creatures, neat new locations to visit, and just a ton of fun to your game in general. Highly recommended.
Aetherius - The Ultimate Night Sky Moon and Galaxy Overhaul: God damn this is a beautiful night sky. It's wonderful, and works with Climates of Tamriel.
WICO: My prefered character overhaul. It's going to take some TES5Editing to get to work with Fangs & Eyes though, which this mod requires. If you decide to use it, well, good luck with that.
Tempered Skin For Males & Females -- I use this on top of WICO and everything looks great. I use SOS bodies for males and UNP for females.
Better Shaped Weapons: Reshapes the stock weapons, and gives glass that lovely refraction effect.
