Adds 10 different followers to the game based on my own past characters. I made this for myself, but decided to add it here in case anyone else wanted it.

[Intro]
Like many of you, I've been playing Skyrim since the original release. Over time I've made tons of characters, some of which have grown on me so much so that I wished I could take them with me on a new play-through. There was a mod for that in the 2011 edition of Skyrim, but since I've moved over to Special Edition I've been running around without them. That made me sad. So I booted up the CK, followed some tutorials, did a bit of writing and now I'm here.

This was a personal project, mostly in an attempt to learn how to use the CK better, and I didn't intend to upload it at the start, but I figured I would share because that's just what we do here on the Nexus. So if you want them, here you go. They're available for you to download or not.

[Requirements]
Let's just get this out of the way first. You'll need;

Fangs and Eyes - A Vampire Appearance Mod

Half of these characters are vampires. This is the mod that I use for their neat eyes and fangs. I COULD ask for permission to use the assets, but I don't want to. I did make this for myself after all, and I'm only uploading it here in case anyone would like to give it a go. It won't work without it, as the file is set as a master file.

However, if you're familiar with the CK and TESVEdit I'm sure you can edit those things out and rebuild the facegens. It's fairly simple.

ApachiiSkyHair SSE

Most of the characters use the Apachii hairs. I don't feel like packing assets or asking for permission to use them. Besides, most of you already have this mod installed.

If these things are a deal-breaker, well, I guess you'll just have to settle for the many other infinitely better follower mods on the nexus. Maybe try this one instead. I use it also.

Maybe also give Inigo a try, as that is easily the best follower mod on the nexus.

[The Nitty-Gritty]

This mod adds ten of my past characters as followers to the game, one for each of the default races. They're pretty generic as far as interactions go as they just use the default follower dialogue and what not, but if you'd like to get to know them a little better I've provided each of these characters with a journal for you to read, which sheds light on their pasts without telling you everything.

Each of the 11 journals add up to make one cohesive story that ties all the characters together somehow. I am by no means a stellar writer, so don't go in expecting Steven King or George R.R. Martin. That being said, you'll find some of the journals pretty dark, while others you might find cheesy, and at least one reads like a terrible romance novel. But hey, I had to come up with something. If nothing else, all of the journals act as skill books, so they do have some practical use for those not interested in reading.

As for stats and what not, they all have perks for both combat and convenience. The mages use their own custom spells in addition to some vanilla ones, and a few have unique pieces of equipment, each of which have proper tempering recipes as required. None of them can be disenchanted or sold, so don't get any funny ideas.

I'm not gonna lie to you, they're pretty damn strong. I lowered their base level to 10 from 40 and they're still pretty tough, and that was with their base equipment. I'd recommend maybe playing Legendary difficulty. That's what I always play on, and that's what they were play-tested on. Some difficulty mods might also help, and I HIGHLY recommend Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks so that you can customize them to your liking if all else fails.

EDIT: As of 1.4 the companions have been slightly nerfed, although you may not notice much depending on what mods you use.

Other than that they all have sandbox AI, faction data, relationship data, and a few can be married. Those who can't are already married (to one of the other followers), or don't have compatible voices that allow for it.

Further details will be provided below.

[Technical Q & A]

Q: X is attacking Y! Why is this happening?
A: As long as the companions are in your party, they will only attack and be attacked by targets that are hostile to you. If they're being attacked by certain people while NOT in your party, it's likely due to the faction or relationship data I have set up. That was intentional, and their backstories could shed a little light on who might want to attack who. I will say this though, while your companions are NOT IN YOUR PARTY, keep Dro'Shavir away from the other nine, because if you don't, all hell is going to break loose. Also keep him far away from Fort Dawnguard unless you're planning to murder-stomp them.

Q: I can't find Zaphira in the Silverblood Inn. Where is she?
A: I play-tested this mod about a hundred times, and this only happened to me once. I have no idea why it happened, and even after looking through the CK and TESVEdit, I can't figure it out why she disappeared. However, exiting the game and loading it again seemed to solve it for me. Try that in the unlikely event it happens to you.

Q: Larellia has one voice, but when she follows me, she has another. What gives?
A: This isn't my fault. The female sultry voice has always been bugged. Relationship Dialogue Overhaul will fix this.

Q: Dread-Scale isn't going back to the Assemblage in Windhelm.
A: Bruh, I don't even know what to do about this one of it happens to you. I set him as part of their faction, gave him the key, gave him sandbox AI. I don't know what else to do. If that scale-back isn't cooperating, then just dismiss him somewhere safe. My last test had him going back properly, so hopefully no-one has this issue.

[Quality Control Q & A]

Q: Why are the journals so terrible?
A: I did tell you not to go in with high expectations, didn't I? If you meant terrible as in screwed up, then yeah, a couple are. Again, I did say they were pretty dark. Just don't read them if you're not interested.

Q: Why so many vampires?
A: Because, these were MY characters, and I made this mod for myself. I like vampires. If you don't, try a different companion mod. There are plenty out there that are better than mine.

Q: I don't like the way X looks. Can you make them prettier?
A: No. I like them how they are now. I made this for me, remember?

Q: Why can't I use Shen's Elder Scroll?
A: Hey, Trinimac entrusted that to him. He can't just let anyone walk around with it haphazardly. They are all-powerful cosmic pieces of creation after all. Also because it has enchantments on it that benefit his unarmed damage.

EDIT: As of 1.2 you now actually can use Shen's Elder Scroll if you want. I don't recommend it because it's there to boost his unarmed damage more than anything. If you're planning on resetting his inventory using AFT, make sure to remove it from his inventory first--same with the others who have unique gear.

[Compatibility]

-Vampire Appearance Mods-

Because this requires BVFE, you're likely going to run into problems with character overhauls that edit vampire npcs, but that won't be my mods fault. As long as you have BVFE installed, then my mod will work just fine, but if you get dark-faces on other characters, it's because BVFE is not playing well with other mods, and you likely need to switch up the load order. Most commonly, this occurs with WICO & Better Vampire NPCs. For me, these mods work fine because I know how to edit them in TES5Edit without breaking my game.

TL;DR BVFE edits vampire NPC facegens, so it might conflicts with mods that do the same. You can fix this yourself with TESVEdit

-Ethereal Elven Overhaul-

I have no idea how compatible this is or how it works because I don't use it. If you do, and there are dark-face bugs, I can't help you. If not, then please upload screenshots of what my elves look like because I'd like to see them.

[Mods Used In Screenshots]

Beasts of Tamriel: Adds tons of lore creatures, neat new locations to visit, and just a ton of fun to your game in general. Highly recommended.

Aetherius - The Ultimate Night Sky Moon and Galaxy Overhaul
: God damn this is a beautiful night sky. It's wonderful, and works with Climates of Tamriel.

WICO
: My preferred character overhaul. It's going to take some TES5Editing to get it to work with Fangs & Eyes though, which this mod requires. If you decide to use it, only delete edits made by the Immersive People ESP on vampire NPCs as well as the WICO USSEP ESP. That's what I did, and they work great now. Make backups of your plugins if you decide to do that though.

Tempered Skin For Males & Females: I use this on top of WICO and everything looks great. I used SOS bodies for males and UNP for females.

LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons: Reshapes the stock weapons, and gives glass that lovely refraction effect.

[Permissions]

You can make patches for this if you want to, as I don't see myself doing any of that. I'll host them here, so just shoot me a message.

You may not upload this mod anywhere else. It's nexus-only.

There are no assets to use in this mod. However, if you get the bright idea to make some companion compilation mod and want to add some of mine to it, contact me directly and we'll discuss it.
