Pulled off a huge boner of a mistake. I couldn't fix a dark face problem with your mod after trying all the tricks I could think of and find on the net. So with sad resolve I started downloading Cuyima's appearance overhaul, even though I liked yours better. To my shock and then shame I found out I had already downloaded it, and was running it with yours. Long story short. I'm a dufuss, but I get to keep using your mod. So at least that's good news. I love your mod and think you do great work. Thank you.
@nexuskomrad I'm told Mattor smash and patches mess her up. Try seeing if anything overwrites her, because that has been the case for Ange more times than I can count.
If you have xEdit you can make them compatible by deleting the edits the mods make to characters. Also delete meshes and textures added by the mod you deleted the character from if there are any. It can be tedious though and isn't worth it imo for a single npc
Hey, quick and possibly stupid question. There's a version of Interesting NPCs on the Nexus over here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29194?tab=description
Is this mod compatible with it? As I understand it, it's potentially slightly different to the one on 3DNPCs.
This mod isn't a "version" of Interesting NPCs it's an addon that requires that exact mod. Yeah it's "compatible" that modfile is a master to this one.
Read descriptions dude, they exist for a reason.
And if you read it you'd realize it's "different" because it's an appearance change mod, not the actual whole mod.
TL;DR : Look at the description, we write them for a reason.
Sorry if there was a misunderstanding, I'm well aware that this is an appearance-changing mod!
To clarify, what I meant is that there are two versions of Interesting NPCs - the one on the Nexus, and the original one on the 3DNPC.com website, and I wasn't sure if the difference in mod made a difference for the appearance mod you've created since the Nexus mod is an unofficial port that repackages Interesting NPCs into BSAs instead of loose files and is no longer ENTIRELY the same. I'm not familiar enough with Skyrim modding to know whether that difference is important, and I couldn't see anything in the description of either mod that indicated otherwise. ^^
Yeah was curious of the same. I think last time I tried this I was using the 3.4.2 beta from the other site. Had brown face glitches so I am betting this mod is way more compatible with the new one here on nexus. Seems the uploader worked out some mesh issues as well as others from the community pitching in. It certainly is a way to update an already great mod with a fresh and polished look.
Hello, just discovered this mod and am really impressed. Is there a preferred load order for the 3 required mods? I'm using MO2 and have SE, Kris' SSE, and yours. Can I just plop 'em in any old order or should one come before the others?
Thanks for the impression, but holy wow, load order always matters. My file uses Kris's as a master, and masters are ALWAYS loaded first.
If you just plop your mods into your load order like you poured cookies into a blender you're going to get a similar result: dry, crumbly disappointment. Your game is going to crash to desktop on launch. I suggest running LOOT then run MO2's built in load order tool (which is LOOT's api but with a lot more going on). Hell, If you're willing, use Wrye Bash and generate a Bashed Patch.
A good Skyrim game is always hand maintained, and that's kind of the point. You want a customized experience? Be ready to log some hours, because this game is like a 2000s era mustang, it's great but you've got to maintain the hell out of it, despite the parts being readily available.
Anyway, if you're still confused head over to TESGeneral, because their tutorials are actually what I consider the best out there. Plus they're funny.
Hopefully that reads well. Proud of my salty metaphors at least. It's early where I am (8:09 AM CST) and it's American Thanksgiving today, so happy Turkey Day if you celebrate it.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! Hope you're having a good one and thanks for the helpful reply. I was hesitant to trust MO2's sorting feature, but I might give it a shot and I'll definitely be checking out TESGeneral. Really cant wait to jump into this mod, looks like you guys did an amazing job.
You're very welcome! I'm extra sassy in the mornings, so I have to check myself.
And yeah I get that! It wasn't so good in MO1 but lepresedente reworked MO from the ground up almost, so MO2’s sort function actually draws from your left pane (the folder sort window) so it keeps that in check.
And it's just one guy here! I'm a chick actually, (Hi I'm Anna!) I did not work with Kris on this lol. I have been helping KaptainCnuckles with the SE port, but this is my mod on my own haha. Thank you though! I'm glad people like it. Disapproval is usually so much louder.
I'm doing "The Way of the Nine" quest, but Amalee doesn't have any conversation option that goes towards the blessing of Dibella. I've spent like 20 minutes exploring her WHOLE conversation tree multiple times, and haven't found it.
Is there an order in which you have to get blessings? I've got the Stendarr and Mara ones fairly easily, but I'm stuck here. I even went to the Wiki page for Amalee and in that video, she seems to have a lot more conversation options than the one in my game. Console says the last plugin modifying her is this mod, so there shouldn't be anything overwritten.
I understand you are desperate, and while that's fine, I just changed her face apperence.
Going to the main website, 3dnpc.com is your best bet because I'm not Kris Takahashi.
Honestly off the top of my head, it might be script jank, as saves do.
Go to a save right before you have to talk to her, load in, and resave.
Quit game entirely, then boot back up.
On the main menu, don't load in, hit tildie [~] and type [coc qasmoke], hit enter, and load into the bethesda test cell. Let all your mods load in. You'll know when that is when the top left screen stops loading text. Then use the menu to load the save you just made.
This is basically just a trick that gives the game breathing room. You're basiclly loading your scripts in fresh, so that they start from 0. These setting will carry over when you load the old save, applying that save's settings, but only the settings over the now reloaded base scripts.

Thanks for the encouragement, I needed that.
That's not how mods work.
TL;DR, not really worth the effort.

Regardless, thank you for the swift response!

Hopefully that was actually helpful!

I'm desperate here.

Old trick, let me know if that helps at all.
