Introduction I wanted to unify my patching experience and I love Synthesis. I had already moved my Blacksmith Forge Water xEdit script to a Synthesis script, and so I thought why not bring all my Mator Smash profiles and build them into Synthesis.
After a lot of trail and error I have a framework that I feel comfortable sharing. I wanted to keep as much granular control over record merging while also trying to add in as much automation as I could.
The Fusion Patcher script will read your Bash Tags and also allow for manual entry. Lots of records and their associated tags are implemented with more being added as I move along.
Installation First and foremost you must download the Synthesis Patcher: Releases · Mutagen-Modding/Synthesis · GitHub. Once download and ran, you can install my patcher via the file in the file sections, or straight through the Synthesis application.
Usage Bash Tags will be read from mod files and used. Currently not ALL tags and records are included, but I am adding more as I move along. You have the option to disable Bash Tag Reading. You also have the ability to supplement using your own settings.
*Example* If you have a mods such as ArteFakes or Unique Uniques then you can add those mods to Graphics, and their graphic records will be merged with the winning record in your current load order.
When it comes to Overrides your load order priority is always used. So if you have multiple mods in the same category that modify they same record, the one lower in your load order that's different from the base record will win.
The only exception to this rule is records that contain multiple sub-records. *Example* Container Items, NPC Items, Keywords, Flags and Conditions. All mods configured in these categories will be merged into the patch and deletions will be preserved. This would be comparable to the bash tag of Delev and Relev.
