Introduction

I never played Morrowind, but I will likely play it someday, because it seems so different from the Elder Scrolls games I'm familiar with. The lich enemy in the tribunal expansion looks especially interesting to me, as Bethesda has taken to using the Oblivion version as the basis for their modern interpretations. They look to me like they are skeletons rigged to use player animations. I could be wrong, but the idea is cool and has inspired me to make more enemies for Skyrim. With Vicn's Creature Pack I have been able to get started.

The liches in this mod are referred to as revenants, because other mods already include liches as the floating undead wizards. Revenant works just as well perhaps moreso, considering they feel more human now that they share animations with NPCs.

Compared to most of my enemy mods this one is simple. Tier 5 warlocks and above have a chance to spawn in as a human skeleton with higher stats and resistances.

Revenants

While they are templated to comparative level warlocks for spells, they instead derive their levels and attributes from vampire NPCs. This makes them much more survivable than their living counterparts. Their skeletal undead status also gives them resistances to frost, moreover they possess total immunity to poison, disease and drowning. They do not drop anything special, so I would very much consider these enemies to be a nasty surprise! Thankfully they are uncommon encounters as ordinary enemies, but there is a considerably higher chance of fighting them as bosses.

Revenants fight identically to their fellow mages. These skeletons are rigged to use human animations, so you should not expect them to be lurching around like draugr. To an extent, liches are supposed to have retained their faculties, so they are moving faster and able to use staves and such. They also use the ghost voice types, so they will taunt you in battle.

Unlike with my other mods, you cannot loot the robes of these beings at the moment, but this is likely to change. Expect them to be appearing in other levelled lists and be equipped with armour. I would be wasting the asset if the lich enemies only equipped one set of gear. At the moment the file is small enough to be tagged as an ESL and is more compatible with other mods. A small mod has its virtues.

Compatibility

The only potential for conflict is if another mod adds mages to the levelled lists, but this can be resolved with TES Edit in seconds. If you are using other mods that add new warlock mages, then I can't promise my enemies will be consistent with those ones.
