I've reworked the mod to use Sound Record Distributor as of v1.01 - so it's now completely conflict-free.

This is my first time using it, but I tested it and heard the birds, so all should be good.

Small update today - increasing volume of all sounds. I'm finally playing the game and noticed they were a bit quieter than vanilla birds. Hopefully this should help solve at least some of the "I'm not hearing them" issues people have been having.

I do still plan on adding more birds in the future! Just wanted to put this small update out right now since I had it ready.

Just what I was looking for.
Using this mod seems like a great replacer for the old sound mods.

    Thank you for making this!!!
Definitely needs blackbirds for sunsets and sunrises :D I was actually looking specifically for them, but any birds are good.

Oh god I was only thinking the other day about how I should step into the world of modding and apply more bird songs into the game, but thought I check first in case someone did this exact thing.

      Low and behold this mod.

Not sure yet what the total number of birds are included but like you say Zettaiiya Blackbirds yes !!!, Wood pigeons, ambient Gulls by the sea, Cuckoo, Woodpecker, Crow etc.. basically all UK bird songs maybe as I am biased and from UK.. ?   :)

Incredible job! Endorsed and thank you!

I'd like to hear owls at night.  Perhaps the great grey owl?  It looks like the ancient Nord totem and has an impressive call.

Also second the night-time whip-poor-will.  Our back yard birds rock under our window all night...

+1 I've been searching for a mod that has an owl hooting sound effect forever and this is the closest mod I've found, if there's ever going to be an update please consider adding one! :D

Additional vote for owl sounds. Also maybe crow and raven calls in daylight? Gulls and other shorebirds by the sea would be marvelous too. so excited to get bird sounds. Did not realize that I was missing them until I heard them.

Sounds of Skyrim Complete has all of those and more. It even has an MCM so you can switch on and off any sounds you choose if you dont like them. It is fully compatible with this mod too.

Thank you for this great mod !

I would love to have Owls too and Blackbirds. Having a Blackbird singing his melancholy song in the sun set, are very soothing.
Just listen to the Beatles song - Blackbird. I belive that Lark song for the tundra would be a good thing too.

DEFINITELY IN MY MAIN MODLIST. I MADE RECORDINGS OF A FEW BIRDS AROUND THE NATION BUT WHAT CAN BE FOUND ON INTERNET IS MUCH BETTER.  :-)=

Hey there! I was stoked when I saw you'd added whip-poor-wills and mourning doves, but... I've sadly not heard them at all. I know you say it should be conflict-free, but is it possible I'm having a conflict anyway?
I've roamed around the Pine Forest for a considerable length of time, day and night, but nothing. I am however hearing considerably more eagle/hawk cries though, I swear.
I'm using a ton of bird mods, including Birds and Flocks, Birds of Skyrim, and skyBirds, plus other ambience mods like Sounds of Skyrim. If there is a conflict, I don't even know where I'd begin.

I have also yet to hear any, and I also use those same mods, plus Louder Nature and Audio Overhaul.

I suggest opening up the .yaml in the mod and increasing the percentage chance to suit your tastes.
Version 1.01 has the chances set to 2%-3%. This is less than the Sound Record Distributor (SRD) default of 5% chance for regions (see SRD's mod description page), so maybe this needs to be increased? I also don't know if the SRD chance is per second or some other time increment.

I'll take a look at that, thanks. Two percent is pretty low chances.

2%-3% chance is equal to every other bird in the vanilla game.

Nice mod! Such a simple idea, yet it adds a ton of immersion. Kudos.
And since you're taking suggestions, I think it'd be cool to hear a woodpecker pecking trees here and there while exploring forests of Falkreath. And owls, Skyrim definitely needs some owls!

Seconding owls, especially since the Owl is one of the animals the Nords worshiped.

Woodpeckers and owls are already in the vanilla game. They are pretty common.
