Adds a standalone hooded version of the heavy dawnguard helmet. Craftable at the forge under the steel category and found in a chest in the Dawnguard Fort along with a full heavy set to go with it. Stats match the original dawnguard full helmet. Temperable as well. Uses vanilla texture paths.

Adds a standalone hooded version of the heavy dawnguard helmet. Craftable at the forge under the steel category and found in a chest in the Dawnguard Fort along with a full heavy set to go with it. Stats match the original dawnguard full helmet. Temperable as well. Intended to be used with the dawnguard set. but you can try other armors and see how it looks.
This uses vanilla texture paths meaning any texture mods you have installed will work, including Xavbio, FranklyHD, Rustic clothing, anything.
In the photos I am using my own custom recolor of Xavbio located here: Black Dawnguard Armor and Weapons retexture as well as Rustic Clothing and Rudy ENB
This is my first ever custom armor mesh and a preview of a future standalone armor set I'm working on. I tried my best to eliminate clipping over the original Dawnguard set as the hooded cape clipped with the back completely. However with the plethora of different armors and mods affecting bodies and animations I can't account for all of them. It's not perfect but in my opinion it looks pretty good.
Please send me more armor ideas and I may make a series of hooded helmet mods with my favorite sets.

Update: Added an optional version using the creation club necromancer hood, requires the necromancer pack obviously.
Update 2: Added a replacer version for the original Dawnguard Full Helmet for Requiem/other users.
Update 3: BIG 2.0 UPDATE: Now that I learned to do body weights I updated the meshes to fit both male and female bodies much better, with a much better female version. I hope you guys enjoy.
