It looks like as if Skyrim Book Club is no longer available. I'm not able to continue the Lost Library implementation. If anybody has somwhow still the audio sources, please write a DM and I'll see what I can do about this.
Love this mod! Thank you! Endorsed for sure. Any chance we could get a volume level control for the book audio? To be clear, I would be interested in being able to reduce the book audio volume.
Please. love this mod (and its predecessor) but ... how do I take the Book to be read/listened later. Really annoying to just start hearing the audio as soon as i interact with the book. is there an option I am missing? the default hotkey for "take" does nothing with this mod installed.
Just wanted to say thank you for rewriting and publishing this incredible mod. As of now, this is really the last source of Books of Skyrim since everything was taken down and I feel really fortunate to still be able to listen to these.
Any chance you'd write up a small guide on how to add books to this mod? I wouldnt mind expanding it to cover the cc books and some from other mods and then sending it to you to upload as an optional file.
Access to audio sources? I was just gonna use elevenlabs for some and have my friend warbird (twitch streamer and modder) do some others since he said he'd love to do some books a while back.
I would love any help with a patch guide as well if you are still planning to make one. <3 I want to make some audiobooks for other mods using my own audio voice. I understand how to make the files and set up the sounds, but i'm a bit lost on how to implement the new books with the new audio in the base mod itself. If you have any ideas or guidance it would be amazing!!
it's great when mod authors resurrect a dead mod and improve on it. but when I see a mod with 6 different requirements , I cant help but cringe... too much work and too many opportunities for your game to break when there's a crazy amount of requirements, I just can't do it anymore.
In fact you need only two other things (mentioned on the description page). The rest is just mentioned for the optionl things. If you take a further look directly in the requirements tab, you can read what I had commented. If you don't like it, it's fine, you have your own choice ob which mod you want and not =)
If you want to install VBoS you'll only need these two requirements (and SKSE, because I used some SKSE-related papyrus functions - but I assume SKSE is a must have for every mod user): At least version 7.5 of Dylbills Papyrus Functions At least version 5.0.0 of PO3's Papyrus Extender
Regarding the hotfix: Yeah, it consists only one audio replacement to fix a cut off. I still think it's easier to just download this small hotfix instead of 900mb of data, just because of one file - but, I consider in implement it in near future as no other reports were made and the Lost Library AddOn is on ice for now.
Agreed. two requirements here, and then in one of the requirements (dylbills) there's a bunch of other requirements and even people in the comments reporting ctds. this would be such a cool thing to have in the game but this is just ridiculous
The only requirenment for Dylbills Papyrus Functions is Address Library for SKSE Plugins which is essential for many SKSE-related mods anyway. Calling that ridiculous seems unfair. No one is forcing you to do anything - this is all voluntary. If you don’t want to use VBoS, you still have the option to go with Audiobooks instead.
So nice to see this mod still alive and kicking XD
The original Audiobooks was always a must have for me, and this mod is a really good replacer. Even improves on it in some ways with recent updates, like stopping the audio when closing a book. It used to be a little bit annoying that the reading starts automatically, but now we've got DAK / Read or Take it's brilliant. One of my very favourite things in the game is, after a hard day's adventuring, to sit in an inn and listen to audiobooks.
I assume this covers all books and notes from the base game and DLCs, but does it also include those from the Creation Club content in the Anniversary Edition?
Yes, that's correct. As I (still) don't use that version, I can't make any patches for it. I'd need to know every FormID from the additional books added by CC/AE and even better the CC plugins itself to get to work - and I don't know if there are audio sources for these books available - without the latter it wouldn't make sense to create a CC/AE version/patch of this mod.

VBoS has its own category there.
Thank you.

Or you disable VBoS (there is an option in the MCM) during exploration and enable it again as soon as you want to listen to the books.
I'll see if I get a bit of time the next day to set up a small guide/article on how to create a patch.

is Voiced Books of Skyrim - BotD Hotfix still necessary?

Great stuff thank you, love it < 3
