While he was up to his despicable deeds on Mount Kilkreath, Malkoran had time to study the mighty Dawnbreaker and decided that it would be just the thing for his plan to overthrow and consolidate all of the vampire clans under his rule. (Not the sharpest pencil in the box was Malkoran) The only problem was how heavy it was... So he siphoned off a little of it's power and put it into a dagger. But then you came along and spoiled all of his plans.

Dawndagger is exactly the same as Dawnbreaker in a compact size perfect for anyone specializing in daggers, like thieves, mages, and assassins. It is an ancient nord dagger but still uses the ebony tempering recipe for Dawnbreaker. Just like its mother, it does 10pts of fire dmg and has the chance to cause an undead victim to explode and do damage to his fellow creatures of the night or turn them and send them running for cover. It has the same starting damage as an ancient nord dagger but with the right 1h perks, enchanted rings and necklaces, and a high smithing skill it can become a real beast.

It can be looted from Malkoran's body.

To add it to your inventory from console: player.additem fe00dd63 1.

If you plan to have everyone's favorite follower in your party I recommend using Use Dawnbreaker as a vampire (plus ignore Serana)
