Please note I'm currently in the process of moving to another country so any modding has been put on ice for the moment. Will be back when I'm settled in.
Yeah, me too. I don't have any particular desire to inject money into a local economy built up by insular ignorant pig-headed racists. I tend to use my side gate and sell in the elven slum quarter if I absolutely have to unload some property. It's pretty easy to accidentally trigger people dying horribly in Windhelm without having a chance to stop it also, which makes it feel weird and stressful to visit.
Bethesda seemed to take it seriously enough to make Windhelm the Racism Town, with the very first thing you seen when you enter the main gate is racism.
Just to be clear this is a form of escapism and game for adults and so it includes subjects and matters that might be too much to handle for more easily influenced and still under developed minds of youngsters and it's up to parents to decide what their children can handle and is ok or not for them. Now to your point what's weird as with most Art they're mimicking reality so since the game is inspired by and based upon medieval times and its many folk lore and folk tales told by people then what you're experiencing and seeing in game is objective truth and as historically accurate through a fantasy setting as they could and wanted it to be. Part of the fun, narrative, and experience is allowing you to play more roles then just always the good guy along with being able to see, experience, and relive whatever history through fantasy they've decided to adopt and yourself deciding on and figuring out how you want to get through or solve the many differences of and that one would experience both in your role and in that age.
The person above made a fair point in his response Bethesda isn't complaining and what's ridiculous is all the virtue signaling about how I'm doing the right thing in a video game as if that means anything and complaining that a medieval fantasy game isn't politically correct. Lets not forget it's a video game and for example I have no issue and love hunting in survival video games but in reality I love animals and would have a hard time killing any animal for survival never mind want to hunt one. Just as hunting in a video game doesn't make me a real hunter either does playing a hero make you a real hero either and same applies to killing or any of the other morally wrong or bad things one can decide to do in video games make you a bad person in reality either. The fact is its alot different when you're dealing with things in the real world with real people and real consequences and only then you find out who someone truly is not some video game made for fun and entertainment.
Let's not forget either that this game is classified pegi 18, which means it shouldn't be played by anyone younger than 18yo. If parents don't respect that, then it's NOT bethesda's or the mod's creator fault, they've clearly been warned. And if you fear windhelm, never set a foot in markarth. The very first thing you see when entering that city is a murder (or at least an attempt if you manage to stop the murderer), then you have to investigate a house possessed by a demon (and sacrificing two priests in the process, the first one being you or him) and later chose between saving a priest or adhering to cannibalism. And if you help Calcelmo, you'll have to fight against a giant spider then investigate the missing explorer team in an underground city full of hostiles falmers.
Great mod man just wanted to comment on a minor bug relating to a recently added creation club content location. The area meshes are bugged, Image provided on what it looks like in case you wanted to edit/patch it. Also another minor issue I noticed is that when investing into a business such as Gerrik Alfikversson store the option never disappears despite already have investing. Great immersive mod regardless.

Sorry, seems like I forgot to update the main page. It is updated now.
Version 1.1: - Town is now radiant quest ready - When exiting any of the interiors, the door should now show the name of the town (Overstead) in stead of the generic 'Skyrim' - Fixed two deleted navmesh - Blacksmith is now also invest ready
Hello Th3 Duk3, Loot gives me the following message: SSEEdit v4.0.3g found 41 ITM records, 1 deleted reference and 2 deleted navmeshes. It is strongly recommended not to use mods that contain deleted navmeshes as they're known to cause crashes. Deleted navmeshes must be corrected manually (a complex process that should be done by the mod author). More information on deleted navmeshes is provided here.
Seriously though, you're hella awesome. I hope you're having a nice time during your move. Congratulations on successful emigration. I wish the countries I wanted to live in wanted me there, haha. <3
I feel that in vanilla there are too many open spaces in places where there ought to be some rural hamlets, so I tried Gavrostead and really enjoyed it! So I'm thinking about adding this town as well, but I have two questions about compatibility in the sense of making my game look consistent. Firstly, do you know if there is any patch out there for No Snow Under The Roof? And secondly, are there any children in this town that should get a RSC patch?
I don't have Skyrim on Xbox One, so there would be no way for me to test it. Converting it to Xbox will also have be something that I need to go and study up on first.
