Changelogs
<Ver.3.1 update - important notice>

Ver.3.1 changes the formID's of the hairhelmets so it can be flagged as esl. (It will no longer take over a mod slot.)

A side effect of this change is that all the previous hairhelmets you had will disappear so you'll have to craft them again.
(Sorry for the trouble!)

Fortunately, creating them again is fairly easy as you can craft all of the vanilla headgear which can be used as hairhelmet materials at the tanning rack with 1 leather (for hat types) or 1 iron ingot (for helmet types).

I added a batch file in the optional files section that adds leather and iron ingots needed to recreate the headgear.
You can open the console command window and type:

bat LeatherIron

and 20 pieces of leather and iron ingots will be added to your inventory.

<Disclaimer for SE version>

This is a port of the LE mod I created a while ago.
Initially I thought SE users wouldn't need this one as there are similar mods already that does the job better (such as <Helm Hair> by KlausGamingShow), but since this one has no requirements and is script free, I decided to port it over as it may be a preferable option to some. You can actually use this one along with other helmet mods (including the aforementioned <Helm Hair>) as this mod is quite conflict free (unless you use the replacer version.)

Since ver.3.1, this mod is now marked as esl, so it will not take up a mod slot.

<Mod Summary>

No more head shaving helmets!

This mod merges Apachii Helmet Wigs from Apachii Sky Hair with some vanilla helmets and hats which had the worst bald hair problems.

Headgears covered are: Iron Helmet, Blades Helmet, Penitus Helmet, Dawnguard Helmet, Skaal Hat, Chef's Hat, Bard Hat, Fine Hat, Jester's Hat, Ancient Nord Helmet, Dragonplate Helmet, Dragonscale Helmet, Hide helmet, Nordic Carved helmet, Scaled Helmet, Stalhrim Light Helmet, Steel Horned Helmet, Yngol Helm, and Jagged Crown.

Each comes with blonde, black, brown, red, and white hair version. Works for both sexes. Doesn't work for beast races.

Each item has the prefix "HairHelmet" so you can easily search them.

<New in version 3.0>

Incorporated Dupre232's wigs from <ApachiiSkyHair Wigs plus Tutorial> to Nordic Carved Helmet and Iron Helmet.
Each comes with short hair and long hair versions, in 5 colors. The new helmets uses body slot 59 and 60, in addition to the hair slots. Crafting is the same: you can craft them at the tanning rack if you have the vanilla versions in your inventory.

The new helmets start with the prefix "HairHelmet2".

<How to Craft the Hair Helmets>

You can craft the Hair Helmets at the tanning rack if you have the relevant vanilla item in your inventory. (e.g. You'll need the vanilla Skaal hat in order to craft the Skaal hat hair versions.)

To avoid crowding the crafting menu, the full list of relevant crafting options will only appear when you have the vanilla item in your inventory.

You can also create the vanilla items needed to craft the other color versions at the tanning rack as well. (Requires 1 iron ingots for helmets, 1 leather for hats.)

ABOUT THE REPLACER VERSION (You can ignore this part if you're planning to use the non-replacer version)

<Replacer version - Compatibilities>

Note: Since the hair helmets have fixed colors, there will be mismatches between the wearer's beard/eyebrows and hair if you use the Replacer version.

This version replaces the vanilla Iron Helmet, Blades Helmet, Penitus Helmet, Dawnguard Helmet, Skaal Hat, Chef's Hat, Bard Hat, Fine Hat, Jester's Hat, Dragonscale Helmet, Hide helmet, Nordic Carved helmet, Scaled Helmet, and Stalhrim Light Helmet with versions that have hair. (Ancient Nord Helmet, Dragonplate Helmet, Jagged Crown, Steel Horned Helmet, and Yngol Helm are not replaced due to some issues. You can still craft these at the tanning rack.) So naturally, it's not fully compatible with mods that alter these.

If you want to use such a mod along with this one, I recommend to load the other mod below this one, since you'll only lose the changes to the vanilla headgear the other mod modifies, and you'll still be able to craft all the items from this mod. In general, I recommend to place this mod up in the load order so other mods can override it when necessary, as the changes this mod makes to vanilla assets are purely cosmetic.

Or you can just use the non-replacer version.

(Note: This mod is compatible with Unofficial Skyrim Patch series, although xEdit may show conflicts. The fixes made in Unofficial Skyrim Patch is incorporated into this mod.)

The vanilla headgears are still wearable by beast races. (They won't get the hair though.)

If you don't want the vanilla headgears replaced, use the non-replacer version.

<Replacer version - Default Hair Colors>

Since the hair helmets have fixed hair colors, I had to set default hair colors for each vanilla item as below:

Blonde for Skaal Hat, Chef's Hat, Stalhrim Light Helmet (since the wearers of these hats are mostly Nords and elders)
Black for Fine Hat (Merchant's hat), Dawnguard Helmet, Blades Helmet (since many of the wearers are Orcs and Dark Elves)
Brown for the rest.

Creafting is the same as the non replacer version: you can change the hair color at the tanning rack if you have the vanilla item in your inventory. (e.g. You'll need the vanilla Skaal hat in order to craft the other Skaal hat hair versions.)
