This patch comes with a FOMOD installer which includes a few options for spider removal in SkyTEST 2022 Redux, designed for arachnophobes and those who simply don't want spiders in the game. You can find a description of each option below:
Option One: Spider Removal
Option one disables ALL small spider spawns added by SkyTEST 2022 Redux. This should be the safest and most-compatible option, as it doesn't affect the spider data itself, just the worldspace and cell spawns.
Option Two: Spider Replacer
Option two is more complex. It makes edits to spider data, such as sounds, (some) behaviors, race, model paths, texture paths, and so on. They're remapped to use the same as SkyTEST's rats, with other changes made to match. Effectively, this keeps the spider spawns, but transforms them into additional rat spawns instead. This comes with a patch for Seasonal Wildlife Distribution and its patch for SkyTEST 2022 Redux.
Option Three: Failsafe
Option three is a failsafe. I copied the meshes and textures used for SkyTEST's rats and renamed them to override those used for spiders. NOTE that this will only alter the appearance of SkyTEST's spiders. They will still behave, move, attack, and sound like spiders.
ALL THREE OPTIONS CAN BE USED TOGETHER. Option One will naturally take priority as it prevents the spiders from spawning at all. Using option Two alongside it simply means that, in the event SkyTEST's spiders still spawn in, they will be rats instead. In the event that options One and Two somehow fail, option Three can ensure that the spiders don't look like spiders at the very least.
