These mods should be compatible without help, but they are not.

Coins of Tamriel edits the default coin, as expected (changing it to a Copper Septim with a different appearance that optionally has weight). However, it also makes edits to ingots and ore, despite no such changes being advertised in its description.

Immersive Jewelry also edits the default coin to add weight but renames it "Septim" (not Copper Septim) and still sets it to the default gold coin appearance. Immersive Jewelry also changes ingots and ores.

So, depending on load order, either Coins of Tamriel messes up the ingots and ores or Immersive Jewelry messes up the copper coins.

The simplest solution for me was to create a new plugin that copies over the ingot and ore changes for the two affected materials (silver and gold) from Immersive Jewelry (name, weight, value).

For this to work properly, you must ensure your load order has Immersive Jewelry before Coins of Tamriel (so Coins of Tamriel overwrites the copper coin change from Immersive Jewelry) and this SilverV3.esp plugin after Coins of Tamriel (so my mod overwrites the ingots and ores from Coins of Tamriel).

Update (April 15, 2023): I have also noticed that some versions of Coins of Tamriel replace leveled lists to change the types of money you get from an urn, for example. Further, Immersive Jewelry replaces the same list to add appropriate jewelry to the same. At the time, I did direct edits to my own copy of the original plugin files rather than creating proper overrides suitable for sharing.

Update (February 14, 2024): Uploaded a new variant. This one does the following:
  • The basic currency unit is overridden to copy over the settings from the "Version 1" variant of Coins of Tamriel (that is, Copper Septim with copper graphic from the Coins of Tamriel mod and 0 weight). I personally am doing this to combine Coins of Tamriel with Coins of Interesting Natures (and not Immersive Jewelry), but Coins of Interesting Natures is not a requirement.
  • Silver and gold ore/ingots are adjusted to stats that hybridize Coins of Tamriel and Immersive Jewelry. Immersive Jewelry is not a requirement. So all four items still weigh 1. Silver ore is worth 200. Gold ore is worth 2500. Silver and gold "ingots" are renamed to "bullion." Silver bullion is worth 400. Gold bullion is worth 5000. The bullion values match what Immersive Jewelry uses. The ore values are extrapolated based on unmodified games requiring 2 ore to make 1 ingot (so the value effectively remains the same when you smelt the ore into bullion).
