About this mod

Craftable tower shield. Has bash effect similar to Targe of the Blooded, scales with level so it doesn't fall off immediately after level 5.

Changelogs
This is my first foray into sculpting, as I usually just do mesh modelling. I hope you enjoy this unique take on a heavier variant of the Targe of the Blooded from vanilla, as a tower shield with better stats all around.

How to Obtain:
It's a shield that can be crafted as long as you have the steel smithing perk. Requires the same perk to temper, and has a more expensive crafting recipe than most comparable items.

Requirements:
Requires HearthFires.esm for the nails included for the crafting recipe. xEdit also claims it requires "Update.esm". No other external/non-vanilla requirements. Uses vanilla cubemaps, so appearance will differ.

Conflicts:
It's physically very large, but all of the scripts are duplicated CK records so it shouldn't overwrite or be overwritten by anything. It may look funny with certain animations, including vanilla ones. I use IED and it can swing pretty hard on the back, which can look a bit goofy.

The bash effect is identical in base functionality to Targe of the Blooded, so it can cause the "Bleeding" effect on undead, animunculi and other non-bleeding entities.

The unique effect seems to have some issues initialising properly on pre-existing saves, so it defaults to the strongest value. As long as you're above level 20, you won't notice anything. If you're below level 20, it may feel a bit over-tuned.

Technical Specifications:
Heavy armour shield, has slightly less value and armour value than the Daedric shield, but has much more weight. Its unique effect scales with level three times, capping out at level 20.

The mesh is much simpler than most of my other models, only 2.6k tris. The real performance hitter here is that I'm using 4k textures for the mesh - If the textures are too much for you, you can downscale them yourself. Alternatively, I can upload downscaled textures if it's requested enough. Since it's only a single model with a single texture set, the download is only around 20mb (~50mb unpacked) and it should be simple enough to downsize yourself.

I'd also like to mention:
-Blender as my primary 3D modelling program
-Adobe Substance Painter as my texturing program - Pre-packaged materials from SP were used
-Nifskope as my .nif model implementation program
-GIMP and Paint.net as my texture implementation programs
-Creation Kit as my asset implementation program
-Skyrim as the game I've implemented this object for
