About this mod
Clear days are bright and sunny, nights are dark. Interiors medium.
If you like the mod, please upload some screens/videos here!
Based on SirArindel's beautiful Verdrenna ENB, check it out, too.
If ENB/Particle lights are too bright, lower the values of complexparticleslight intensity.

Note on ENB / Particle light brightness
If particle lights and/or ENB lights are too bright, turn down complexparticlelight intensity and specular amounts in each of the weather ini files. If there's demand for this I'll upload an optional file with the values lowered.
Note on monitor calibration and models/textures/tweaking
My monitor has a little more blue and more saturation, you may want to add a bit of blueness and saturation/vibrance using enbeffect.fx, enbpostpass/prepass, or the shaders available in reshade.
My landscape textures are a little on the darker side (other than snow maybe?), and the darkness/lightness of landscape textures will affect how bright clear weather is, and I've tuned the preset around my landscape textures. If things seem too bright or not bright enough, try going into the weather window and increasing or decreasing directlightingintensity for those times of day, and saving it in the weather window.
This preset goes for visual clarity and vibrance, and does not attempt to set a mood using scene-tinting effects (other than stuff that is there because of the weather, like fog or sunrays).
I'd really only recommend this preset if you're very happy with how your in-game world looks - models/textures for everything - since this preset will make every item, object, person, and building visually stand out.
This preset mostly adds some mild bounce lighting effects and changes the colours of weathers/interiors/times of day to ones I think are more vibrant and (somewhat) realistic (I believe real life is generally full of vibrant colours - it is for me, anyway).
Goals of the mod
Did I achieve the following goals? I don't know. But this is what I'm trying to do:
- Try to recreate the feel of weathers and interiors, as opposed to recreating what a photo of a weather/interior might look like (this preset is NOT going for photorealism, at all).
- Make the sources of light what creates light and colour in the scene (e.g. the sun, moon, fires, torches, candles).
Some ENB presets are masterful at creating mood through subtle tinting of each weather/interior, or of the whole preset. This often looks absolutely beautiful - but that's not what I'm going for here.
- Get out of the way of the textures/world (mostly) - textures, objects, buildings, people, and the world will show through and the contrast between them will even be more noticeable with this preset. If you want a preset that will obscure things (for example: mismatched or ugly textures), this preset won't achieve that. As a result, I'd recommend you only use this if you're happy with the models/textures in your game, as this preset won't do much to hide them.
- Very vibrant colours, but still somewhat natural feeling.
- Have a somewhat realistic feel.
- Recreate the sensation of clouds obscuring, and then revealing, sunlight, as they pass in front of the sun. Do this subtly so it doesn't look "off" when it's cloudier.
- Make it feel just a tiny bit like a painting.

Current Status
I'm doing a playthrough doing an error check for inconsistencies and final touches as I play. I'd say it's about 95% of the way to where I want it (as of July 28, 2023).
Quick install
1.Set:
the following in skyrimprefs.ini under display:
bVolumetricLightingEnable=1
bUse64bitsHDRRenderTarget=1
bSAOEnable=0
bDoDepthOfField=1
2.Install (including any requirements of the following mods):
Lux
Lux Orbis,
Picturesque,
- part 1 weathers mod only. Install with mod manager of your choice and load it after most other mods so its changes aren't overwritten.
ENB .dll binaries,
- the two .dll files in wrapper from the download (downward arrow) from enbdev site > news > downloads > skyrim special edition. Put the DLL files in the same folder as skyrimse.exe.
- Note: if using reshade for TAA deblur, install reshade's addon version.
- install reshade with Vibrance.fx and PD80_03_Shadows_Midtones_Highlights.fx when installing.
- install reshade to skyrimse.exe folder so that dxgi.dll, and reshade and/or reshade shaders folder are in the same location as skyrimse.exe.
Soft Shadows,
Twilight,
EVLaS,
- I'm using faster config (in the mod's .cfg), still looks good, performance hit is medium instead of heavy for me.

Word Wall Transparency Fix for ENB
4. Download:
E) and F) from main files of this mod.
5. Install:
- the 1st file Weather Lighting plugin and INI with your mod manager and load it after Picturesque, Lux, and Lux Orbis, ideally toward the end of your mod folder order and plugin load order.
See section 7 below for installing 2nd file - ENB and Reshade Preset.
6. Manage ENBCache Folder:
Delete the files inside enbcache folder in your SSE folder, if switching from another ENB or there are files in there.
(0.5 and upward should have an empty enbcache folder you can use, see step 7 below).
7. Drag and drop
files from 2nd file ENB and reshade preset (enbseries folder, enbseries.ini, enblocal.ini, the enbcache folder and Pomegranate Reshade.ini) into your SSE folder where skyrimse.exe is.
Notes
I have no idea what stuff like nighteye or these other effects looks like with this preset.
My monitor is fairly saturated/vibrant and bright, I'd recommend looking at calibrating your monitor if you haven't and the colours look off. You can always increase saturation/vibrance in reshade's vibrance.fx shader, or ENB's enbeffects.fx or enbpostpass.fx shaders in the ENB menu.
