Ancient Nord Heroes Use Thu'um just got released! It does similar stuff with Dragons Use Thu'um but focuses on the Ancient Nord Heroes Hakon, Gormlaith and Felldir giving them new AI and fully voiced shouts!

Paarthurnax's Blizzard has a damaging frost spike effect now! Alduin's Firestorm shout is revamped with better textures and he also has Frost Blizzard Shout now! Alduin's End Times Shout throws everyone backwards and drains their magicka, health, and stamina now! Remade all patches and added Real Life Dragon Fast Travel Patch to FOMOD! Added more sound fx for diversity! Will update the showcase video too sometime!
I also made a Shout List for Regular Dragons to see which variant uses which shouts!
Just noticed today that the legendary dragon I fought never once used fire breath or frost breath. Just kept hitting me with unrelenting force and drain vitality over and over, and would often use the phantom form shout. Spawned in an ancient dragon to test further, and it never once used fire breath or frost breath, either. Lastly, spawned in a serpentine dragon, and it used fire breath a couple of times, but honestly it mostly just sat there staring at me while hovering.
I don't have any mods that modify dragons, other than Edmond's Alduin and Durnehviir and Talkative Dragons. Should I just disable unrelenting force? Anything I should do to test further?
UPDATE: Something is definitely up with this latest update. The AI seems busted. Durnehviir does absolutely nothing but fly around and hover in place, and regular dragons just spam drain vitality and unrelenting force, never using any other shouts. Disabling those two shouts in the MCM just causes the dragons to fly around doing nothing but taunting. Like I said before, I've got zero mods that modify dragons, other than Edmond's Alduin and Durnehviir and Talkative Dragons. They never created an issue before.
UPDATE #2 W/ POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Okay, I decided to uninstall and reinstall this mod, its patches, AND Talkative Dragons and now the dragons are behaving like they should. In fact, the change in behavior was immediately noticeable. Seems like last time I updated this mod, I ran into some weird issues and ended up correcting them by uninstalling and reinstalling this mod, its patches, AND Talkative Dragons. Going forward, I'll probably just repeat this process for any updates. This mod is simply too good to pass up.
For anyone having issues with weird AI behavior, try doing what I did and see if it corrects the issue.
Hi, I just downloaded this mod and I must it work flawlessly; however, I wonder if there is any way to increase chance of dragon doing Fire or Frost Breath instead of other attacks because I tested for half an hour and dragon only do Fire Breath attack once even there are multiple hostile nearby. Is it possible to use this mod without installing JSContainers SE (since it's only for one MCM setting that I could maybe leave alone) and OAR (since I'm not interested in new animations and want to avoid mods that potentially introduce random bugs with large modlists)? Any idea what could make dragons just pick one or two shouts and then mostly spam those the whole fight? I summon Mirmulnir (the first dragon with the refid 0001ca05) with the console and all he does is Fus Ro Dah over and over with the occasional Yol Toor Shul (fire wave version), he only used the classic beam fire breath like one single time across 3 tests.
Mainly trying with Alternate Perspective, Better Dragon Breath and KS Dragon Overhaul 2 with the patch collection of this but same thing happens with just this and Alternate Perspective.
EDIT: Oh I just saw the pinned comment detailing a fix. I also have Talkative Dragons. Will try that.
Just curious if the patch for the full version of Zim's Dragon Improvements (Full) was removed on purpose? Too much to maintain? Also, just a heads up that the better dragon breath patch doesn't seem to be working anymore. I've tried both mods by themselves in multiple orders but don't seem to get the same fun explosion effects or hazards.
Will check Better Dragon Breath Patch when I am able. The issue with that mod was, it made dragons overuse their breath shouts too much compared to the other shouts so I edited the patch accordingly but I may have messed something up while doing so. In terms of Zim's Dragon Improvement FULL version. I think I removed it by accident? Will also check that ASAP. Super busy rn with my Studies
So this uses low damage level conditional effects which makes shouts - while cooler - comparatively puny and weak in my Requiem setup. Before I go editing all those values, I'm curious whether simply swapping out the fire/frost/drain life actor effects for Requiem's shouts and copying over the scripts in these shouts' spell effects would work or not. That'd leave me a lot less to edit. Haven't looked at the scripts so don't know how it's all set up and whether that'd break something.
That sadly wont work :( the spell conditions, shout sounds and the AI Mechanics are designed specifically to work for my shouts and effects, hence why most of my patches are just me forwarding my shouts to other dragons, rather than editing the shouts and effects in other mods
Gotcha, thanks. Nothing good in life is ever free (from effort) I suppose! Similarly would adding additional actor effects break things? I like dragons alternating between fire/frost ball and breath shouts in Requiem, but it looks like a lot of the dragon actors I'm looking through don't have both.
Edit: I think there might be an incorrect effect on VoiceDragonFrostBreath01 in the Better Dragon Breath patch. Effect #4 for the LVL 41-50 range uses VoiceDragonFireBreathEffect instead of VoiceDragonFrostBreathEffect.
I'm currently testing this with only this mod(+requirements) active and so far this actually makes the dragon fight worse.I tried fighting several dragons and 99% of the time they only use the two word ice or fire shouts and maybe the occasional Fus Ro Dah.Normal dragons no longer seem to use the actual breath attack and when disabling the two word shouts they just attack in melee and Fus Ro Dah.It makes the early dragon fights even easier than they are in vanilla.
That doesn't seem right. Could there be any other dragon editing mods in your LO? Their AI changes are to ensure they use their shouts in diversity not just spam their wave shouts. Regardless I will update the mod maybe in a week or so, to make them use their breath attacks even more.
I wanted to see how this works first so I only have this mod and the requirements active(no other files on the left side of MO2 either).I'm using the AE,the latest version of SKSE64 for the AE,SkyUI,Address Library(1.6.X),MCM Helper and Jcontainers SE.I started the game through SKSE and the MCM menu appears just fine.I also started a fresh save so there shouldn't be any mods that interfere.
Edit:I rolled back to version 6.0 of your mod and dragons do use their breath attacks correctly.
