"Do I really need to make a bashed patch/smashed patch?" It won't hurt your game if you don't make a bashed/smashed patch; but it will mean that whatever mod loads last will take precedence in terms of loot tables. If you want the full experience as intended, please make a Bashed/Smashed Patch. If using Mator Smash, use the Smash. All smash tag.
"Can I merge the Scarcity esps together?" Yes, you can merge all the Scarcity main file and rarity modules together. I do not recommend merge Scarcity with other mods because this can nullify the leveled list changes. After you merge the Scarcity files together make sure you still bashed patch/smashed patch so that the leveled list changes will be properly integrated.
*Warning*: Do NOT mark the main Scarcity esp as an .ESL file. If you're creating a smashed patch, Mator Smash will ignore .ESL flagged files and Scarcity needs to be smashed so don't do this. The Scarcity rarity modules on the other hand can safely be ESL-flagged since they will override the main esp. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about you can safely ignore this warning.)
Dude, I didn't believe this mod would work that easily, but after three days of testing, I have to say that it just works. Your patcher is way more magical than any magic in this game. Long gone are the days of bashing, smashing, and editing each and every load order with these plugins to get a reasonable loot balance! I can finally forget about Scarcity and build a new load order on top of it! Thank you so much for saving me from all the hassle and trouble that came with this essential mod.
Thanks! I am glad that this mod turned out to be useful to you. SkyPatcher is the future in creating various mods with a minimum of conflicts that just work. Do not forget to leave a endorsements to the author of SkyPatcher Zzyxzz And if you wish, you can vote for him SkyPatcher.
Kind internet stranger, you should really upload a mod into the Nexus for this, with installation instructions for dummies, and listing both Scarcity and SkyPatcher in the requirements (so that people who have those mods can easily find it).
Most people won't even see your post here.
Alternatively, if you don't want to go through that, I can make the upload while crediting you.
How does your patcher interact with the rarity modules?
Yes, of course. You can do it. If you decide to publish a patch, please download the latest version of the patch before doing so. They are still necessary in order to change the global values. The author of SkyPatcher may add an option in the future and do without them, writing all values to the ini. But now you can set the esl flag in xEdit on them, so that they do not take up space in the load order for full-fledged mods.
Hello everybody, i am confused about how the mod works:
In my load order there are Morrowloot Ultimate and several mods that adds characters and items (Rogues 'n Riders & addons, Armor Variant Expansion, aMidianborn, etc) and even enabling scarcity rarity (4x) loot corpses from new bandits drop a lot of stuff...
To fix this, using Wrye Bash, i was going to patch leveled list of MLU with Scarcity ONLY and add all other mods level list into Scarcity.esp to force the rarity to apply to these items
Am i doing it right?
Thanks
Nevermind, found a more settable mod that seems to fix everything!
How do you "review" a mod in xEdit? What should I look? I have no idea wtf to look at or where even to begin. Why does Skyrim modding feel like a higher science sometimes??
I can't believe nobody raised this, but Scarcity has one major flow: it does nothing with Imperial Luck perk. So basically as an imperial you are getting a tons of gold compared to other races. I guess setting ImperialLuck to 50 (or some other non 0 value) would fix it (a bit).
From what I know it's quite opposite: in vanilla, it works on all races, not only imperials (all races have ImperialLuck set to 0), so all races get extra loot. It was fixed in in USEEP? But don't quote me on this.
wondering if im understand this right...if for whatever reason I don't make a smashed patch and have this as low down in the load order as possible, will it alter the loot from other mods? or is the patch absolutely required in order to do that?

Is it possible to flag this mods plugins ESL? It comes with 3 esps, it's a pain.
What is this link? doesn't seem to go anywhere anymore

Reviewing in xEdit should let you find the culprit(s).
This racial ability does nothing in vanilla game.
