no metter how meny times i try i cant make it work, i want to have redbags, jk skyrim and dawn of skyrim but there ir buildings cliping near to the market zone, and in meny other places pleace if someone could give the load orde for make it work with tath 3 mods only
I assume you are not using Open Cities? In that case you should download the patches at this page and follow all specific instructions: RedBag's Solitude Patch Collection. Apart from those, the load order should not matter.
Just made the switch to the updated Redbag's Solitude with your most recent patches. There are things that I miss about Dom's take, but there are also many things I like about the new setup. Excellent work as always!
A couple things I've noticed:
-I like Redbag's/your new path from the docks to the main city; unfortunately there's a rock arch added by Skyrim.esm blocking the way at the top. SolitudeRockArch02, BaseID 00058813, Ref ID 00058836. This is more an issue with your main OCS patch on Redbag's modpage, but I figured you wouldn't mind hearing about it here. Simply disabling it won't work because it's a huge mesh that leaves an obvious gap in the overall arch.
-There's some z-fighting in the courtyard of the blue palace when using your Redbag's Solitude Docks Updated - tweaks plugin with the Blue Palace Terrace OCS patch. I thought it might be a dirty edit, though running Quick Auto Clean on it does nothing. Seems odd that there would be a conflict at all there.
I am not experiencing your first issue. I am using the improved rock arch meshes found here: Improved Solitude Arch. If that resolves your issue, I will have to report this to RedBag. If not, you must have another mod installed that is causing the issue (possibly moving the rock).
I need more specific information to be able to debug the second issue. Could you post a screenshot?
It was in fact this rock replacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/96136
which has a patch for Redbag's mod, but somehow it got moved so it loads before the main mod. Adjusting the install order properly fixed the issue. And fwiw, vanilla rocks don't have the issue. It was all user error!
It's hard to show screen shots of z-fighting, but hopefully the screenshots I just uploaded here tell the story. Basically the Blue Palace Terrace patch puts a geometric design in the courtyard, and for some reason the tweaks plugin is trying to put something in the same place.
Yes, there is a conflict between Blue Palace Terrace and the Solitude Docks patch. I'm not sure why I modified that reference to be honest - it might be a remnant from Domenicus' work. To resolve it, you need to open RedBag's Solitude Docks Updated - tweaks.esp in SSEEdit and clear what it is doing to the reference 0007ADF7. I also recommend you run DynDOLOD afterwards.
would it be easy to make a version of that big open cities megapatch without the docks? not sweating you. I'm using Enhanced Solitude Docks (really wish there was a working OCS patch for Enhanced Solitude too so I'm using Redbag's)
you and Garddenn have the most clutch OCS patches by far. I'm at the point where I'm considering ditching Open Cities til SREX patches become more widely available
It would not be too difficult, in theory, but I am not going to do it. The main reason is that it tends to take a lot of time with quality assurance and bug fixing for those big navmesh patches, due to a bug in the Creation Kit that causes navmesh links to break, and because I want the mods I publish to be as clean as possible, which requires quite a lot of manual work. So if I were to provide versions for all combinations of that patch people may want, I wouldn't have time for working on my other mods.
For the particular patch you are requesting, there is also a bit more work to it, due to the underwater exit to Skyrim Sewers. And if you want that to work properly with Enhanced Solitude Docks, you would likely need to do some navmesh and landscape work in that area anyway (unless there already exists a patch for the RedBag's Solitude + Open Cities + Enhanced Solitude Docks + Skyrim Sewers combo).
Gardden has only provided simple patches as far as I am aware, and several of the ones I tested had issues (although I fixed some of them and sent them back). It is a big collection, but they would need someone looking over them unfortunately.
I am not sure it is wise to hope for SR Exterior Cities to save your troubles. Last time I checked the mod had numerous issues, although I understand the mod has got quite extensive updates since then.
I'm wondering whether this patch actually works with the latest version of Redbag's Solitude, because it seems like JK's Redbag's Solitude (which is a requirement for this patch) hasn't been updated to the latest version of Redbag's Solitude (v.1.51 as of this writing)
I didn't even know there was an update. Checking the changelog, it looks like some of these patches are not fully compatible with the latest version, so use 1.41 for now. I will update once JK's RedBag's Solitude has recieved an update (or soon after, depending on the scope of the required update).
It looks like it will take a while until I get to update this mod for 1.5. The reason is that this collection constitute a complete mod build for Solitude, so I want all the patches it is built upon to be compatible with the mod versions it is built for. RedBag hasn't even updated the Open Cities patch yet, and it seems like he is not going to do it anytime soon.
Sorry, I missed your question there. I am working on it, but got a bit delayed due to the LOTD v6 update. I expect it to take another week or two until I can get it published.
...Where's JKs BPT - Imperial Mail - SSewer Patch?I can't find it anywhere. t EDIT: In Czasior's old version 1.3 JK's Blue Palace Terrace.Czasior seems to have deleted that patch in his newest fomod.
Hi! I'm struggling to understand the functionality of this patch, because I havent been able to make it work properly.
I have open cities in the latest version, with its patch for skyrim sewers. Then I have JK's Skyrim mod, with its patch for open cities. Then I have RedBags Solitude, with its patch for open cities Then I have JK's RedBag's Solitude, as this mod lists it as a dependency to function. Then I supposedly should install this mod, with the corresponding options in the FOMOD.
All of that in that order.
I think there is a problem because I see floating climbing plants, and clipping elements within the city. It looks like something is not working properly, or like it were missing something.
My problem is, there's not an option for selecting just the main patching, like JK's RedBag's Solitude does, but taking OCS into account. Something like a JK's RedBag's Solitude OCS patch. I've read that JK's RedBag's Solitude is needed, but I don't know why my game isn't asking for it as a dependency. I have now installed that mod just before this mod, but the problem persists. I don't know what should I install and in what order anymore. Any help would be awesome.
I can provide pics of those things I see ingame. Most of the clutter things clipping with rocks and environmental stuff are from JK's, while that environmental stuff is from RedBag's.
My Open Cities patches are only compatible with the combined JK's Skyrim - Dawn of Skyrim patch at Random Open Cities Patches. I am not supporting any of the standalone Open Cities patches for JK's Skyrim or Dawn of Skyrim, since that would be way too much work to maintain. I am not surprised you are experiencing clipping if trying to use the Open Cities patch for JK's with my patches. And it wouldn't work to swap masters either, because the FormIDs are completely different.
I'm an xbox player who would like to bring this mod to the attention of the community to find a modder who can port it to bethesda.net Can I have your permission?
I'm not so sure about that. I want to have control myself where my mods end up, so I would rather not have it ported to a site I don't use. I also don't think all of the patches here will work well on Xbox for performance reasons. Or at least that is what I have heard about Open Cities, but it may have changed with newer hardware.
the patch I'm interested in is the one between lod. redbag, and open cities. Usuallyit's true that open cities doesn't perform well on xbox but I use it in playthrough together with shattered skyrim and this allows for a solid hold.of course you can refuse permission and I have no problem verifying this. Thanking you also for the quick response
RedBag's Solitude+Open Cities Skyrim+LOTD+BluePalaceTerrace SE.I will CTD when I open the map within the scope of Solitude. I will not install eFPS on the Solidude for major repairs in this combination, and there are no patches available. RedBag's Solitude Can the house in the market be removed? It makes this place smaller. The best thing about this MOD is that it has a dock beautification, lowered city walls, and a perfect installation for an open city. The downside is why it added a house in the market.
I don't understand what you are trying to say. It is RedBag's Solitude that adds one or two houses to the market district. If you have any concerns about that, you should take that with him. I am not removing stuff from any of the mods I am patching just because one user has issues with it, if that is what you are implying.
Regarding the mod combination you are using, the LOTD + Blue Palace Terrace combo is currently not compatible with Open Cities. Luckily I have created such a patch and plan to release it next week. However, you would also likely need another patch for navmesh resolution. If it is interesting for you, I have created such a patch that also includes the other mods at this page, but it will take longer time until I release it due to a dependency on a mod I have not finished yet.
1. Do you recommend using your OCS optimization patch for mods that change the size of city layouts, like Open Capital Whiterun?
2. Are you aware of any patches between Open Redbag’s Solitude and Landscape and Water Fixes? The latter adds a bunch of rocks that are visible when using the former, especially along the path between the marketplace and the executioner’s stage.
1. It depends on the mod in question. The patch was designed to use with Open Capital Whiterun and the Open Cities version of RedBag's Solitude. I am also not aware of any Riften mods that change the layout so much that it won't work there, the mod doesn't touch Windhelm, and the only addition to Markarth is not placed inside the city itself. So in your case I think the answer is yes.
2. There are actually two Open Cities version of RedBag's Solitude. These patches are for RedBag's official version, but Domenicus also created one that is incompatible with my patches (and happens to be called Open RedBag's Solitude, so that's why I am mentioning this). I am assuming you are referring to RedBag's version (if not, I can't help you), which I am using myself. I am also using Landscape and Water Fixes and have not noticed any compability issues, but perhaps I was not observant enough. If you send me a screenshot, I might provide a patch. I don't think anyone else has made one.
2. The conflict is there with both Redbag's and Domenicus' OCS patches. I made a new profile in MO2 to be sure. It seems that SLaWF is adding these rock meshes for whatever reason, and that something about Redbag's city layout is exposing them. I'll post some screenshots soon.
Thanks for your patches! Between your work and Domenicus, plus a few other patches, I'm really enjoying exploring these expanded open cities.
Edit: Just uploaded some images for troubleshooting purposes. I hope they help!
Yeah, you are right. That looks quite bad indeed. How odd that I had not discovered it during my testing! I will upload a patch ASAP. Thanks for the heads-up!
I first noticed the issue when I’d enter town and see NPCs standing on the bigger rock mesh, but since it only has facing on the far side, it’s invisible from the gate. So it looked like randos were just hovering over the platform to watch Rogvir’s execution.
I had been using Domenicus' OCS patch instead of Redbag's, which unfortunately doesn't seem to work with your patch. Would it be easy to make it compatible, like could I just change the masters in xEdit?
Looks like you could switch masters in WB, which would probably work. I cleaned masters in xEdit, which also worked. Now Solitude is looking better than ever. Thanks again for the patch!

Edit, yep, just zapping that reference entirely has fixed the incompatibility.
