Hello, I'm having a sort of weird issue with smoke coming from the player and torch at the same time. Any help would be great Thanks. Doesn't always happen though.
I found a post below, that help me figure this out. Thanks anyways for this great mod.
Hi Mindflux its Pauly, don't know if you remember me, you granted me permission a while back to use aspens ablaze in tree bundles I upload to bethesda.net, well I have another request for you if that's ok, may I include your smoking torches and candles in lighting bundles I upload to bethesda.net and nexus please ?
I'm running this as part of the Elysium Remastered list, and I have a question, actually a slight (weird) problem:
When holding a torch, whether indoors or outside, the smoke trail of my torch is actually disconnected from the torch itself. When indoors, it can be a foot or more away. When outside, it can appear to be like twenty feet or more away.
Any ideas?
Edit: To clarify, candle smoke seems perfectly fine. I think it's only my torch that causes this.
Edit 2: This only occurs in first-person. If I switch to third-person camera the weird floating smoke trail (which is a "ghost" of the one actually coming from my torch) disappears.
Edit 3: Here's a pic: https://i.imgur.com/DoAmDiP.jpg
UPDATE: It turns out that while the newer version of Improved Camera SE indeed does fix the floating torch smoke issue, it introduces two other significant problems, at least with Elysium Remastered: it messes up arrow appearance in first person (they don't show up) and it also causes your equipped shield to not appear correctly, so the fix to the torch issue is not worth it.
Great mod! However, I have been having an issue with torch smoke while using ELFX and ENB Light where the torch smokes for a few seconds and then stops smoking. I have all the patches installed and cannot seem to find a way of fixing it. Any help is much appreciated!
Ahh, I changed that a while ago! However, I've just reset it to default (750) and still have no smoke. By the way, I forgot to mention this but NPC torches produce smoke, even though I do not.

Elysium was using a slightly outdated version of ImprovedCameraSE, and by updating it to its own version 1.05, the problem appears to be cleared up.

I hope this helps someone.

What is your iMaxDesired set to in SkyrimPrefs.ini? It sounds like it might be the culprit.
Anyway, seems interesting that it's only your torch - so it does produce smoke for a moment but then it just stops doing it? Perplexing.
However, I set the value to 100000 and still no smoke for my torch only... It certainly is strange...
Any breakthrough with this in the meantime? I'm wondering whether you use any particle heavy mods for mist or fog?
