This mod was created during a time when AI voicing was still a relatively new concept, before the general consensus around it turned mostly negative. While I am personally of the belief that AI is a tool that (when used correctly, ethically, and responsibly) can drastically improve and expedite the creative process, I also understand the damage it can cause to the credibility and reputation of both artists and voice actors that it learns from, particularly when plagiarism is involved. As such, I will no longer be creating mods that use AI voicework in any facet. However, this mod will remain on the Nexus for the foreseeable future for purposes of preservation and archival. Please support artists and voice actors in any way you can during this difficult time.

First of all, why?
It's no understatement to say that LivTempleton's legendary Kaidan follower mod is a must have for any follower-obsessed Dragonborn hero. However, it's also one of those mods with a quest that automatically appears in your quest journal once you start the game with it installed, which some people may find unimmersive. Another mod author, Wartortle, created a mod that rectifies this, offering an immersive start for those that want to encounter Kaidan naturally. The solution: players can talk to Orgnar in the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood, after which he'll direct them to Kaidan's Old Camp, thus initiating the quest.
There was just one tiny problem, though: at the time this mod was created, the only available tool for easy speech synthesis was xVASynth, meaning that options for a natural sounding voice for Orgnar were limited. Now, with the advent of ElevenLabs AI speech synthesis, creating natural, realistic voices is easier than ever before, as long as you're willing to pay five dollars a month. So I figured "screw it."
So what does it do?
This small mod simply replaces the .wav and .lip files used for Wartortle's Immersive Kaidan Start with new, higher quality ones created using ElevenLabs AI. That's it. Nothing else. It doesn't even use a plugin to function, saving a slot in your ever-growing load order. Below is a video showcasing the new voice line in action, as well as comparing it to the original mod:
