Q. What are lightbulbs?
A. They are the things responsible for light sources such as fire places, candles, torches, camp fires, dwemer/dwarven lights, etc. to actually emit light. For more info visit the Creation Kit page.
Q. What's the difference between shadow lightbulbs and non-shadow lightbulbs?
A. That answer is already in the naming of the two options. Shadow lightbulbs emit light causing shadows, meaning most geometry will stop the light and cast a shadow. Non-shadow lightbulbs emit light that is not obstructed by geometry. This means these lights will not cause shadows and will shine through all objects.
