When I initially published the mod, I was unaware that it might give the impression of introducing talking trains to the game. English is not my first language, and I thought it was clear that it referred to the verb "train." Some folks pointed out this confusion with humor and I found it funny, so I decided to keep the name. However, even Chat GPT interprets this mod as being related to talking trains, leading me to believe that it is genuinely misleading. That being said, I have decided to change the name.
Endorsed. It's in any modlist I'm playing except where skill use leveling is disabled, and I miss having it immediately. In my opinion it's a great addition for roleplay as your character will get better at speechcraft naturally just by talking. Some reason I personally always found speech hard to level (I refuse to do the grind of selling 1 thing at a time) so this is great for my taste.
Hello. Because you (understandably) decided not to support 1.5.97, can you please make a version without the MCM for us non-upgraded folks so we don't have a broken/useless MCM menu?
Edit: Or at least let me know what I can delete safely to get rid of the MCM.
this mod made me think of the possibility of asking peoples for borrowing money from npcs and on some cases when they want to get their money back you decive them into thinking that you didnt borrow that much money (decieving peoples in general into thinking things they didnt do)
If you could add VR support it would be much appreciated! I tried using both the triggers (attack button), and the interact key on the controller and neither were resulting in XP gain.
I downloaded yesterday night, so far no level ups while talking, but I may have just not crossed the threshold while talking to anyone. I will pay attention to my level before conversing with npcs for the next few hours and I will get back to you on this.
Or a perk in Speechcraft that deals with trains that talk. But that would be bad because they wouldn't conduct themselves properly. Their lives would quickly fall off track, and they would derail all chances of you having a good playthrough.
