Yow sir great mod! I enjoyed it so much! But I think there's a bug at the end in the area where you'll gonna fight Whisker's final form, the soulgem socket for the Whale doesn't have an interaction and I finished the quest (I think?) and I didn't find the Special carving for the door with the "Investigate the mansion" quest in the beginning. Happy new year!

    - I installed the remastered version

Thank you and happy new year!

There is no interaction needed for the whale sarco because its empty, that's all right.

      The Special Key:
      Spoiler:
      Show
After killing whisker and his friend in the lab, take the direction to the shaft with the waterfalls. You can jump down there to reach a lever which open the cage doors. In this area is a hidden way between the rocks, which leads back up. After the falling rocks you should find a dead draugr hanging around with the key in its pockets.

So is there no interaction with the whale and the fire? That area is left alone?

Edit: Never mind, just had to look around a bit more

OK, I gave up and cheated. Couldn't find the armor key to save my life, and I don't understand the "hero" stuff, are you supposed to put the weapons and armor in special places to open access to other places?
I never played Resident Evil, so if there's clues from playing it, that can be used in the mod, I'm unaware of them.
In any case, the mod seems to be working as intended (as far as I can tell), without glitches, and it's got a good eerie feel to it.

I just got tired of wandering the rooms and looking in every corner and crevice for keys. I checked the rooms for hours, over and over again, and finally gave up and cheated.

Much thanks for the feedback! Allow me some questions, i'm a bit of wondering that you checked rooms for hours without finding the armor key.
Indeed without this key you can't make any progress. Hero stuff is just retextured loot.

Havn't you found any maps? These are notes, lying around open and easy to see. On these maps are red crosses, which should be a huge help when you realy miss a key and don't know RE.
As the area you can access is so limited without the armor key, what have you done in these hours? Or where exactly did you stuck so long?
Just asking because i like to keep the frustration level low. Update New version will come with a quest, that will give a bit of orientation support.

      Armor Key: (FINAL EDITION)
      Spoiler:
      Show
To get the Armor Key use the mainstairs to the 2nd floor and head to the left, through the Dining Room, then downstairs. And follow this floor, open the door, follow the next floor straight forward, to the Plant Room, the Key should be at the plate on the wall.

I have the same problem.  The mansion layout for me seems to be different from all the YouTube videos.  When I went into the Plant Room,
the item on the back wall was the Sun Medal, not the Armor Key!  I have the maps for both floors, but all the keys are in areas behind locked
doors, so I can't get them.  Did I do something wrong?  Note, I have the Re-Mastered version of the mod.

Hi, sry for the late answer, it would have been better to use the Remaster comment section.

There are no videos of the Remaster version yet, and yes there are quite a few changes in the layout. Ofc I will allways help here, but better keep it in the comment section of the related version next time. And specify what you are looking for.

Here is Armor and Shield Key solution for the REMASTERED EDITION (v5.0+):
      Spoiler:
      Show
To get the Armor Key, first take the Blue Jewel from the flower of the statue. Place the blue jewel on the right tiger eye. Shelf opens bellow.

Shield Key is in the filled tub in the bathroom, right lower floor of the mansion. Just drain the water on the barrel with activating the faucet down at the barrel. Key is inside.

When starting a new game, there's an extra Nord race in the race menu linked to this mod. Probably should set that unplayable.

nice mansion mod, needs more than an evening to finish it. Fun fact if you have the mod sinister seven enabled the members of the sinister seven can attack you in the mansion, was surprised when i got attacked by one of the seven while I backtracked the mansion. Will finish the mod the next days, but i have no clue how long the mod is, because i never resident evil and just got the helmet key. The mansion is very near Morthal, but looks cool in the swamp and dont crashes the game. would recommend.

Never played ResEv 1. Did play 2 though. A long time a go. So for me this wasn't really a nostalgia trip as such. I did however enjoy it quite a lot. Definitely a bit of change of pace from normal Skyrim content. That ResEv puzzle logic... All in all, the mod captured the spirit of ResEv really well. Can't say anything about how accurate it is to the original, not having played it, but the mod itself is solidly build.

Did it on super modded build and did not have any real issues, beyond one tree from Ulvenwald trapping one of the enemies into a corner in the courtyard. Quick disable on console sorted that right out. Beyond that my only real issues was with havok not activating on the floor boards that let you drop into the secret room that leads to the basement. Looking at vids online, let me believe they should activate once the queen boss thing has been killed. Didn't happen to me, but am running a super modded build so... Anyway, some sort of manual fail safe to get through the boards would help. This is Skyrim after all, and one can't really rely on scripted events to fire off reliably.

In any case, was quite fun and enjoyable romp. Particularly appreciated that it was pretty well balanced over all. Went in with level 21 char, and left with a level 25. There were couple of tough fights here and there, and decent loot. None of it too over powered or broken. One often gets mods with way too powerful loot to actually use. Heartily recommend everyone to give the mod a go.

I love this mod. I love Resident Evil, it's my fav game series ever. The mansion is well crafted and it's fun to go through the whole thing. Definitely endorsing the mod for that, But...this has to be the worst possible location for the mansion. So many mods edit that exact area of the swamp. There are so many empty spots that I've never seen any buildings/house, or statues/altars pop up in the Rift, which would be another good location for it. Falkreath would be good as well though a lot of mods plop stuff in Falkreath at various spots.

TL;DR I wish the Mansion was not in Morthal's swamp so it would have less conflicts. But it's good anyway if you aren't running into conflicts.

Thank you for the feedback. Just for interest I have checked Falkeath for a matching spot, from the atmosphere it would be cool, but with the hilly level design together with some marsh routes for soldiers and animals passing through it would have been a bit difficult to place it there.

When I have this mod installed Skyrim does not launch. Using Vortex mod manager. Also using Anniversary edition stuff so could be conflicting with that.

Ok thanks for the info, I have no knowledge about the functionality in connection with the Anniversary Edition it was just not out on release. What stuff are you using from the Anv.Edition and how?

So, uh. Should I be playing a lore-friendly Jill or Chris in this? Asking because I want to coordinate outfits to exploring the mansion :p

If you play as Jill you have more pockets and in 3rd person view your screen isn't so much covored as with a male figure...
On the other hand, it is more challenging with Chris.

Whatever you chose, take the other one as your companion with you. And send some screenshots of the outfits!
