If you used previous versions of this mod and wish to update: The newest version (3.0) uses a better method of changing the smelter, and no longer requires you to delete the old smelter with the console.
If you used previous versions and deleted the duplicate smelter with the console, the new version will have 0 smelters. (If you did not delete anything, you are in the clear)
1. Load the latest version of this mod. 2. Load a save in which you had not yet deleted any smelters. 3. Select the smelter in the console 4. Load your most recent save, the smelter should still be selected 5. Type "Enable"
Done! The smelter should now appear and should give you smithing experience.
I just tested this in my own game and can confirm that this fix is also fully compatible with Complete Crafting Overhaul. You should update the title and description so CCO users can find this easier as well.
Ok, so not quite. You can see the exp bar on the Breezehome smelter, but it doesn't actually fix the exp glitch. Would you perhaps be willing to make a version of this for CCO?
thanks for the patch! this is what I've been looking for. can you make a patch for ebongrove too if you don't mind :D https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17355
Ahh good, there's a new version. I tried the old version and it didn't work for me but I didn't notice the issue with deleting the old smelter. Will try the new version.
Edit: Just noticed when I installed the new version that LOOT put Ars after this patch so that may have been my problem before. I edited the metadata for this patch to tell LOOT to put it after both Eli's Breezehome and Ars so now LOOT will put it where it should be.
LOOT is good for people who want some idea of how to sort mods, however it is dangerous because people think its the rule of law, but it very often puts mods in the wrong order. Nothing beats the good old human brain and smart sorting things yourself, just gotta git good at it :) (xEdit helps hugely at determining conflict and load orders)
It should work, as it works just fine with Open Cities Skyrim and the patch Open Cities for Eli's Breezehome http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3640/?
It's not quite the same thing. Eli doesn't have Brisheim posted anymore; the download provided an alternative structure outside of Whiterun that used the interior of her Breezehome. It is outdated as it is based on the 1.1 Version of Breezehome. The 'mod' was an optional download from Eli's Breezehome page...so there is no real way to link the mod. I will load your mod to see if it modifies the smelter in that world space.
edit: It wont work as is, and I couldn't figure out how to change your references to those in Brisheim (not proficient with SSEdit) But, I was able to use your changes and make them directly to the smelter in the Brisheim mod. Thanks for the idea; this makes using that Smelter very convenient. I use to run all the way to town to smelt at the Warmaiden.

Can you also make the smelter work on Eli's "Beginner's Shack" mod?
