About this mod

Silences your companions idle lines when you're in conversation or while a scene is currently playing.

No companion, you shouldn't be making witty jokes or giving your opinion as Arngeir is explaining to me what it means to be a Dragonborn for the first time in my life... Quit interrupting.

I'm sure we've all had our companions completely overlap each other or other NPCs with their comments. I love that a companion comments and even more that they're aware of what's happening around them, but when they start talking over a unique NPCs line with something you've heard them say 50 times, it really grinds my gears and murders my immersion. And sure, you could dial down their idle dialogue frequency or maybe disable it all together. But why should you? They just need to learn some manners.

How
Leveraging the awesome power of Synthesis and Mutagen, and further leveraging conditional magic effects and SPID, I was able to make a custom controlling quest that keeps track of scenes, when the player is speaking, or when a companion is speaking in order to tell companions when to speak and when to wait. Synthesis is used to patch every idle dialogue line with the conditions in order to make this work. In it's current state, it only affects followers, NPCs not considered IsPlayerTeammate will not adhere to these controls, with the exception of Idle lines when you're in dialog with someone. It helps you concentrate on what's being said. Scenes still occur without any care though.

There's no SKSE plugins, just an incredibly simple quest and absolutely no annoying conflicts to deal with. (Well, you should always be doing your synthesis patch dead last so technically no overwrites to deal with.)

Requirements
1. Spell Perk Item Distributor
2. Synthesis
3. SKSE64

Installation
1. Download the Muzzle It resources with your favorite mod manager. Mod Organizer 2 is always suggested. Place it wherever you like in your load order. Seriously, anywhere will do.
2. Follow this guide on the installation and usage of Synthesis.
3. Once your Synthesis is open, download the patcher from the files, extract the .synth file and run it! The patcher should automatically install to your Synthesis.
4. Run Synthesis so a patch is properly created.

Be advised: If you update any dialog containing mods (followers, dialog edits, etc,.) you should re-run the patcher for changes to properly take effect!

Known Issues
1. If two followers begin talking at the exact same time, they'll overlap each other, nothing can be done. Super rare though.
2. If a follower begins talking before a scene starts or you enter conversation, they'll continue talking until they're done. Minor though.
3. This can prevent a follower from making comments in unique locations if you're actively talking or scenes are actively taking place. They basically won't find a chance to say anything. I'm still considering what to do in these cases, if to ignore scenes that are far from the player maybe.
