About this mod

A mod adding books of songs to the world, attempting lore-friendliness.

Tunes of Skyrim aims to cater to the music lovers among us with ten volumes of songs by select musicians. It started when I thought, "These songs would rock in Skyrim."

These songs were carefully collected by someone named Kaylia Kelderene as she traveled all over Skyrim from a faraway country. At the end of every volume is a little note on how she came across the song. This isn't meant to be ENTIRELY in step with lore-- it was just something fun I decided to do to give it a little bit of care and story. "Kaylia" was the name of the protagonist in the first book I ever wrote. A lot of the people Kaylia mentions in her notes are based on my own friends and loved ones.

The books can be bought from Sayma at Bits and Pieces in Solitude or Urag gro-Shub at the college in Winterhold.

This is, of course, a companion to my mod Poetry of Skyrim. EVENTUALLY, I'm going to add an NPC that sells the books and is voiced by me and will sing the songs if asked. It will be Kaylia herself, and the mod with the NPC will have all three versions (I am planning on making one more set like this) included. This allows you to have the version where you have the books alone and the version where the poems and songs can be performed for you!

The book mesh used, as well as the textures, come from modder's resources that are free to use. They are from the same author, DanielCoffey.

Mesh can be found here. This was for regular Skyrim, but everything seems to be working fine anyway!
Textures can be found here. There are SO many textures here, and many people worked on them-- please give it a look, an endorsement, whatever it is we do to show our support.

Something I forgot to mention in Poetry of Skyrim, but a HUGE thank you to Dralkkin for his expertise and infinite patience as I asked him a million questions. You're awesome.
