This mod allows the player to find and wield my interpretation of the Carillon weapon, Desperatio, in Skyrim. The weapon uses a detailed poly efficient model and 4k or 2k texture mapping. It was made using the programs Blender 3D, Quixel Mixer, and SSEEdit. The ESP is ESL flagged and therefore shouldn't take a space in mod load orders.
Weapon Lore -
Carillons (also known as dug weapons) were a series of powerful weapons created by the Emnetwiht (Human) race in order to match and fight the other existing ancient races of their times. In the Suka Suka, however, these instruments are now instead utilized to combat the the threat known as the Seventeen Beasts. Though some Carillons are mass produced, there are a few notable and unique exceptions that exist among them, each with different abilities based on the talismans that compose them.
The A - Rank Carillon known as Desperatio is one of the more odd carillion variants. It possesses a a crimson blade that is attached to a worn black hilt. When infused with Venenum, the cracks glow a pinkish white glow. Desperatio is known for its characteristic as a Kinslayer, meaning that it is extremely effective when used against enemies with human characteristics.
Weapon Stats -
In the hands of a non-human warrior, Carillon Desperatio is no different from any other good - quality blade. It's true power, however, is derived when it is tuned with a compatible wielder that exhibits human characteristics or when wielded against humans as well.
- 25 Attack Damage
- 0.60 Attack Speed
- 1.90 Reach
- 35 Weight
- Special Perk: Rank A Kinslayer
- Enchantment: The Kinslayer (Cannot Be Disenchanted)
Weapon Enchantment: The Kinslayer -
The Venenum infused within Carillon Desperatio allows it to burst through most enemy defenses by reducing enemy armor by 200 points for 30 seconds. In addition to this, the Venenum has a 25% chance to implode and deal an additional 50 points of damage against human enemies.
Special Perk - Rank A Kinslayer -
Again, the true strength of a Carillon can only be truly utilized when wielded by a user of a human race. In technical terms, the damage output of Desperatio is increased by 125% if the wielder is NOT an elf or beast race.
With its specialization in the massacre of other humans, the blade will deal 100% extra damage to human races regardless of the wielder's own race.
Method of Acquirement -
One day while excavating some ancient ruins, a team of Thalmor found a weapon rumored to be effective against the human races of Tamriel. Mysteriously, however, that excavation team vanished along with all their research. The only thing that exists of their efforts is the weapon itself, which resides at the empty Thalmor Headquarters in the city of Solitude.
With the original weapon in your inventory, you can also craft a replica version at the Skyforge.
Personal Notes -
- I might do one more Carillon, but I'm not sure. I'm thinking of modeling this one Greatsword from WOW or maybe Archer's Bakuya and Kanshou from Fate.
-Fixed the spelling of the Carillon to be more proper and in line with the wiki and this change has been forwarded to the mod page of Insania as well.
- My uploads may become less frequent due to incoming university work, but it's alright since that work will probably pertain to 3D - modeling as well.
- Again, enjoy and have fun with the mod!
