Introduction:


It was 2017 when i first came out with the idea of VAE, and i wanted to release unique visual effects for the enchants on weapons but i ended up using a common pattern and effect for all weapons changing only the art of it without counting on the lenghs of weapons.

After 6 years it is time for a brand new version of VAE, with new different effects,different patterns and unique arts for all enchants weapons artifacts included








reading  description is important to understand how this mod work
so please take few minutes to do that


-VAE 2 is a simple mod that does not have or use any scripts ( atm ), this allow you to install or
             uninstall the mod middle game
            ( load order lower position)
-VAE 2 is a mod that change only the aspect of enchants on weapons not only the shaders but also adding a
            different art,color and animation for every enchants.
            The weapons of NPC and Enemies will be affected also, this will help you to prepare eventually with more defence                    (like preventive potions )
             Every enchants is unique to its effect, some enchants are unique for a specific weapon (ex: Daedric Artifacts )
-VAE 2 DOES NOT CHANGE values or power of enchantments in game but follow the same progress of  vanilla                                       enchantments.
-VAE 2 covers all enchanted weapons in game perfectly 
( this means all weapons that are already in game )
                 and use enb light for shader.
            ( At the moment exception for staffs and some artifacts and  Creation club content ).

            What is different from VAE:

- There biggest difference is that VAE was using only a pattern for  effect ( the rotary pattern ) and all weapons,  the only difference was in the showing Art of this pattern.
 VAE2  use different patterns for different effects ( fire is the classic flame on blade, fear is a cloud running slowly on the weapon and so on) so every magical weapon will have a size, will have different pattern, art and effect showing in game, also some effect will leave a shade of the effect during the swing making the fight more intence!

             Enchanting a new weapon:

- Enchanting at the moment is the only small trouble visually, with VAE1 it was easier to have the proper effect visible cause pattern was only one, Vanilla enchant basicly recognise the enchant and apply the Art, in that case, was unique in size for that and every weapons.

_ VAE2 have different sizes and for some weapons even types, but in this case when enchanting a new weapon, the engine will enchant with a basic pattern ( usually is the dagger the vanilla art effect ), this means that vanilla enchant system will apply a basic dagger effect art on all weapons you want to enchant yourself ( so if you want enchant a sword this will get a dagger effect on it instead of a proper sword effect as VAE2 should do ), it will look still good on most of the weapons and  of course it will get the right effect but it will look a bit odd in size for weapons like Swords and Greatswords and som 2hands weapons, it is not a big deal and probably it can be solved in future with a script or a MCM menu ( HELP is always accepted and needed ).








Effect and Enchant description:

MOD covers daggers, bows, crossbows, swords, 2Hswords, waraxes, axes, warhammers, hammers
with curved swords effect will be a bit out of place in some cases
if you use modded weapons models effect would look a bit off in some cases
( for example i use a mod that change steel weapons and axes are shorter than normal )

FIRE: it is the classic flame effect of the blade or top of weapons ( like in vibrant weapons )
FROST: it is the classic frost ice and will affect the blade or top of the weapons (like in vibrant weapons )
SHOCK: it is a classic shock that run all over the weapon
DAMAGE Magicka\Stamina: it is a falling particle effect looking like a mould growing on the blade and all over the weapon (depending on type of weapon )
ABSORB Magicka\Stamina: it is a falling particle effect small magical beam will grow on blade and all over the weapon (depending on type of weapons )
ABSORB Health: red beam like ruby will grow on blade and all over the weapon while blood flows out of it
BANISH Daedra: it is a sparkling effect running all over the blade
TURN undead: it is a circle light effect running all over the weapon
PARALIZE: It is a geometrical effect on the blade of the weapon
SOULTRAP: it is slow radiation visible on blade
FEAR: it is a smoke effect visible on the blade
MOON: it is the classic rotary effect from VAE
SUN: a sparkly Star running all over the blade and weapon
CHAOS: all 3 first effects together
ARTIFACTS and UNIQUE WEAPONS have unique effect that i will leave to find out 

INSTALLATION:

Just use your mod manager ( also best option to unistall )
Version 1a can be installed middle game and unistalled with no trouble

place mod at low place in your load order
let the mod overwrite other mods ( if you use Glorious gradient is covering same files )
and it is very possible it will ask to over write gradients from other mods
Glorious gradient is included in VAE2 and just make gradients better

NOT COMPATIBLE

obviously with mods that cover same thing 

FAQ and "Not Bugs" answers:

Why Color are best visible during evening or dark areas but fade or are almost visible during day?

- As it works for some light sources in game ( or particles ) is it normal that colors fade during day  on weapons when light is stronger 
  Also lighter Enb will affect the effect

Mod does not work i can't see effects

- Check load order first or reinstall the mod, that should not happen 

i have some remade models of weapons and the effect it is not perfectly in place

This can happen, some of these effects ( like in the case of Vibrant weapons ) it was based on vanilla and believable weapons mod, if you have mods that change the model of the weapon and this doesn't respect the stardard size it will appear a bit off ( i have a mod that change steel weapons and axe is abit shorter than normal )

When i enchant double effect it is only visible one

This is normal, as for size and type Vanilla enchantment system recognize only one Art and will choose the one of the first enchantment or the stronghest 
but of couse it is just a visual problem, double enchantment will work properly!

There is a little delay on some effect when swinging the weapon

It is a known problem, some effects have a little delay ( less than a sec ) to appear after swinging

On Chaosweapons flame is not defined properly

Some effects are from vibrant weapons, this was a choose of the author and i guess it was made to compromise 3 different effect visible on a weapon
i have changed only the gradient to make it less visible and strong

I don't like the mod or it was better first original VAE

Download first original VAE, i can't do anything if you don't like this new version, i always try to make and offer something different
