A couple of points about eyes. You are using the EoB ESP version. Anybody using the ESL version will not see your choice of eye 096. As the IDs are different between the two versions, they will see a default eye.
Also Racemenu omits the eye subsurface texture when it exports the facegen nif. To avoid the purple cast in the sclera, you have to put the link to eyebrown_sk.dss back into the third line of the BSShaderTexturesSet.
Got it! Thank you for informing me. Under requirements, I will tell them which eyes I use and that I used the ESP version
I did not know that about Racemenu, that makes sense because an exported head I had a while back did seem wrong with the eyes. Alright thanks for the help, I'll re-upload with the fixed nif file.
Racemenu also creates that strange distortion of the neck up through the skull. It doesn't matter in game, but if you would like to remove it, do this. Import the facegen nif into Outfit Studio and immediately export it to overwrite.
Really? Oh my. I'll make note of this. Are there any other Racemenu issues I need to be concerned about? I made a follower recently and I noticed her eyebrows show up but appear glitchy, like they keep moving around her head, almost like they are floating and disappear when she speaks, appear normal when she doesn't speak and just stands there. And another follower I made a while back, his hair mesh seems to go through his neck and back like stretch, it's bizarre you mostly only notice it from far away up close, or within distance it'll appear perfectly normal, I imagine these issues also relate to some Racemenu Export issues. Is this neck/hair problem my follower has the same distortion issue? Would I export to Nif, or Nif with Reference?
Export to nif, no reference. To be fair though, I think it is just to make things look nice in Nifskope. The game transforms the neck back to where it should be. The eyebrows seem like a mismatching tri file. Expressive Facegen Morphs perhaps? The hair stretching is often associated with physics. I have no reason to think the Racemenu flaw we are discussing now would cause it.
Anyway, it is great to see some CotR faces offered. I am a firm user of that mod, because of the faces of daxoss. What about those ghastly CotR teeth though? I am trying alternatives, but tri files matching is a problem.
I have just discovered what seems to be a fundamental problem, affecting everybody. You have chosen 00DZ_femalehead_0006 and that is what we are seeing in your screenshots. However, Racemenu just saves the default head texture set for that race. In your nif, look at the texture set for the head. It has FemaleHead.dds. Now point that first line to FemaleHead_0006.dds. Her freckles are back.
Hmm, I see, alright. That's frustrating that Racemenu keeps causing these problems, Racemenu is a great tool however it has had alot of problems since it's been on Special Edition. It's not really a problem though if you have the preset file as that would load everything the way I saved it, the sculpt was more for getting the face shape in case the preset had issues loading which it doesn't seem to. So as long as you have the preset it's fine.
Is that everything? Could you please make sure first, I don't want to update again until I know everything will be complete. Is that all the issues? I'll update again after a while and after I hear back from you.
No, mate, it's the same problem in the preset jslot. Scroll down to face textures and change the line "texture" : "!COR\\Head\\FemaleHead.dds" to "texture" : "!COR\\Head\\FemaleHead_0006.dds".
It is quite a fundamental problem, though Racemenu, or perhaps the engine character creation, can be excused for not foreseeing the extra sophistication of CotR.
You can fix the jslot. In Notepad, scroll down to face textures and change the line "texture" : "!COR\\Head\\FemaleHead.dds" to "texture" : "!COR\\Head\\FemaleHead_0006.dds".
Really!? Wow, I didn't know that, thank you. I'll do that. I have another preset that has a complexion for wrinkles, and his always turn off when I load the preset. Cool much appreciated!
It's going to be perfect :-) All that remains is to include information on which texture set from CotR you are using, Bijin or Fairskin. Then people could adjust their body textures to match.
Thanks again for all the information and help! I've changed her head sculpt and preset to the correct paths. I am curious though how am I able to know which particular skin she uses with COTR, ah wait yes I use this one!

Odd. Alright, I'll fix the head mesh then after a while when I get around to it. Thanks for letting me know.
