Is there any documentation on duplicating race records? I am trying to duplicate the Falmer race and assign it to the Heritage mod Falmer vampires.
I duplicated the outfits, Armor add on, Armor and skin records used by the falmer race, changed them to be useable for the new falmer race and then assigned the race n outfits to the templates n npc records but they spawn completely invisible!
I haven't written anything up on duplicating race records.
Hard to say exactly why it's not working, assuming if there is nothing wrong with your records there could be an issue with the nifs you've set up for the Falmer vampires, possibly the case if you loot them and the bodies reappear when equipment is removed. But again hard to say without taking a look at what you're trying to make happen myself.
It adds new falmer NPCs, race is the same but there are essentially new variants across multiple tiers. I guess without a patch you just won't be able to loot their armor?
No but if they're the same in appearance to regular falmer you should be able to sub in the Skin and outfits from this mod to the new NPC records in the esp. Hopefully it shouldn't be anymore difficult than that.
If it's texture changes you should be able to set up the nifs using the existing FEA ones easy enough, if it's new meshes it'll be harder as you'll need to put together new nifs
From my end it doesn't look too bad, most likely it'll be similar to the patches for Cannibal Draugr and Haugbui on my Draugr mod, might be time consuming but nothing should be awfully complex
In the absence of a patch is it possible for certain variants to spawn invisible? Trying to spawn some of these heritage falmer via the console and some variants are invisible... not sure if due to this possibly or the Falmer model n texture overhaul
Generally recommended but it should be okay on an old save, most likely issue there'll probably be a lag for NPC outfits to update in game so you'll end up with naked Falmer a bit like the common naked NPC bug from mods that do outfit changes when installed mid-game.
But obviously if you encounter an unexpected bug I likely won't be able to fix it as it may relate to the old save rather than the mod itself. So if you plan on doing that be sure to have an up to date save pre-install and then verify the mod is working correctly, that way you can always revert if there's an issue on that old save.
There's a good chance any previously loaded falmer will be naked if this mod is added to an existing game; on reset (if you left and waited 30 days before returning, for example), those falmer should be appropriately attired.
If you're seen naked falmer in previously unvisited locations, you may have another mod conflicting, in which case we'd need to know which other falmer-editing mods you're using.
Just a craftable circlet nothing else? Totally doable just needs the mod cutting down or a new esp just for the circlet. I might take a look at doing it when I'm done with some other things.
I suspect you have another mod overwriting our changes to the vanilla Falmer Boot records (listed below). Ideally, you would want to load up all your mods in SSEEdit, see which mods are conflicting, and create a patch for them (or let us know, and we can create a patch); barring that, you could try moving FEA lower in your load order, but then it would be overwriting the other mod and whatever changes that mod was making.
I tried to replace the mesh with a vanilla one, but that didn't help. Looks like the problem is caused by combination of these boots and this armor because farmers with other armor do not have this issue with these boots.
I'll do some testing and try to figure out what's happening. Are you using the patch for MandragoraSprouts Falmer Overhaul? I can't quite tell from your screenshot.

Also. Would the Falmer added by this require a patch?

They do use custom meshes, but they point to vanilla textures. Heritage - Reflexive Enemies
thx

Quick question: I see you have patches for both Falmer Overhaul and HD Falmer Glow, so would Xtudo's patches be redundant?
Yes, only use either Xtudo's or mine shouldn't make a difference.
