Welcome to Winterhold, a nearly forgotten town, which suffered many years from devastated homes and population loss. Now, fortunately for the city, everything is about to change to better. People are coming back to their long lost homes with a lot of coins and an amazing plan, which is to bring back life to Winterhold. New shops will arise along with barracks, and a treasury house where citizens will keep their hard earned gold safe.

Beginning Stage Features:
Barriers are posted, materials have been delivered, some trees have been cut where you can now see the stumps that will be excavated in the future. Scaffold is set up and the work has started. Since it's in cold region, Winterhold renovation will take a bit more time to complete, but people are working hard and around the clock to put it all together.
Great defense stonewall has been built around the town to further secure it, and one house was already rebuilt.

Update Stage 1 Features:
As the construction work moves on, a brand new road has emerged enabling for town's expansion towards the seaside. Hard working people have already built guard's barracks, and 3 more residential houses. Much more is to come, as this is the capitol of magic and mages who have lived here for thousands of years.

Update Stage 2 Features:
Winterhold spirit is coming back as the construction is getting momentum. Now 2 more residential houses have been built and now the constructors are even thinking about building a fighting arena, but we will see about that a bit later. The street magical lights have been posted just on the entrance to the city for now to see if they work, and later they will adjust it through their special spells obtained at the College of Winterhold. Further on, the entrance has been reinforced with moving rods to secure the city even more, and it is a 2 switch system now, that will be converted to 3 switch system in a bit. Oh, one more important thing to notice, there is a broken segment of the bridge to the College which is now also under construction where the mage shop would be, as can be seen by looking at the scaffold below.

Update Stage 3 Features:
One town, three entrances, but so far only one has been fully built. Of course that's not all! New road has been built towards the middle entrance where 1 more house has been built already on a steep slope indicating there will be more buildings in that part of the town. The most important thing this time is, that battle arena has been built and is under construction now, so it is not finished yet. And shop construction is running fine as well having the wall repaired and now adding the base for the shop. One thing is for certain, Winterhold is growing nicely!

Update Stage 4 Features:
Refreshing view from anywhere within Winterhold. Many new buildings saw the daylight as the construction moves on! On one side, you got the most beautiful center of a town with magical details, and on the other side there's a temple of Julianos, pretty unique, isn't it? And the arches on defense walls are amazing too, having a brand new golden Winterhold logo, "WH". You'll see it quite frequently throughout the Winterhold. But that's not all. The town has expanded towards the mountain as well having 4 new residential houses built on a cliff. Seems like the people really want to make Winterhold outstanding and amazing to anyone who visits it, whether they just need to get to the College, or stay in town for a few nights.

Update Stage 5 Features:
Magical street lights done by the very best members of College, a Treasury house, few more residential houses that have already been sold and now just waiting the interior to be finished so the people can move in and start with their daily jobs. It is just amazing sight wherever you look in Winterhold. They have done so much and brought to life whole place, but as always, people are going to improve things whenever they can, so that's never all. And there have been more and more rumors about the arena, and it seems like it will host amazing fights. And apart from all the town details, they even said Winterhold will have a spa, where the people can relax with hot water and lavender fragrance.

Update Stage 6 Features:
The last destroyed house has been finally rebuilt and the scaffolds removed. Blacksmith of Winterhold has already built his smelter and forge on covered stone porch to allow him work in any conditions. Some rumors have turned out to be true already since two market stands have been built near blacksmith's house. And the best part for now, the shop is now finished and ice had formed on it like it was there for centuries. Town is reorganizing well and everything fits in its place slowly.

Update Stage 7 Features:
In a city such is Winterhold, you have to feel safe and relaxed. So the people have built 3 watchtowers near each entrance which will increase security levels. What is important is to note that full gate openers will be located only in each watchtower to allow better control of what is coming inside the city, for example a carriage from some other place will need to ask the guards before entering the city, and even stranger horses cannot pass freely because there is 2 stage opening of the gate which prevents it.

Update Stage 8 Features:
More and more houses are filling the space. What once was no more than few houses community, has now grown to be a full city. That being said, there are several new type houses built out of stone and carved into the cliffs for better spacing. Now they said it is a time to move in and then carry on the construction.
For now, it is unknown how many people will move in next time. But the blacksmith announced his arrival because he thinks it's a high time to make some superior weapons and armor for the town, especially for richest ones, the college members!

Update Stage 9 Features:
Winterhold is still developing, but what's even better is the fact that the people already started moving in. For now, blacksmith Hjalmar and his wife Brenda have moved in their new house near the college, and not only that, they started working and selling some equipment, but that's not all, as they advance they will sell more and more good stuff, after all, they just started working. Note: they sell only on weekends (Loredas and Sundas) Construction-wise, one residential building has been built near the mid watchtower and a little marketplace has been posted on the stone porch where various merchants would sell their goodies. Constructors are currently considering the best spot for a spa they mentioned before. And one more surprise this time. One of the leading visionary from Winterhold came out with an advanced transport system. He drank his potion and had a vision where the ancient dwemer technology was put together to form "metal horse", then again, he knew that natural gas yields fire when lit, so therefore he got to the work and created horseless carriage which can use dwemer technology as pulling object, and natural gas to power it. His creation is displayed in Winterhold near the college's bridge. Who knows, maybe it will become more than just a prototype.

Update Stage 10 Features:
Hard working citizens of Winterhold have moved the boundaries even further this time. Having discovered the deep volcanic water and its healing properties, they found the perfect spot for a spa, and built it. Looking from the peak, you can see how much developed the Winterhold is right now, and apart from blacksmith and other professions, there is one of the best alchemy shops in Skyrim named "Winterman's Chest". They haven't been opened yet and are not in function just yet, but soon they will start working and people would fill the spots.

Update Stage 11 Features:
It seems like there is no pause in Winterhold lately. City's development is still in a momentum and it looks more and more beautiful. This time, the brand new alchemy shop named "Winterman's Chest" which is owned by Ulrik and Reina Winterman has been finished and you can now shop for alchemy products on working days from 8h to 16h, and they offer a nice amount of them. Furthermore, Reina and Ulrik's house has been finished and is located at the mid entrance near the gates, they also plan to have kids. You can find Reina and Ulrik on many places depending on the time of the day all the way from their house, to their shop, Frozen Heart inn and Temple of Julianos.

Update Stage 12 Features:
Finally, long awaited mage's shop has been established and finalized at the College's bridge. Here you can find almost anything you can imagine you need for enchanting and wizardry. Just be careful, magic is not something to play with as it yields enormous power. The man running this magnificent shop is Hugo Rowe, who lives down the street past the Blacksmith's place near the city's entrance. Also, people are starting to come to the spa, although there is still no bard who will work there as entertainer, but it will be sorted soon as he is on his way all the way from Morrowind with his wife. Hugo and Magdalena Rowe are mage couple who makes all the equipment sold at their shop. And finally, The Frozen Heart has been expanded with one more floor and stairs so there is more room for customers and visitors.
Note: Mage shop works on weekdays 7h to 12h so make sure you're on time.

Update Stage 13 Features:
With Winterhold's expansion grows bigger need for food, so this time the fresh bakery shop has been opened in the middle of the Winterhold, just behind The Frozen Heart Inn. Everything is freshly baked by the owners, Clara and Darius Boswell. And the name goes nicely along with their business, "Boswell's Bite Bakery". As the town needs food each day, they agreed to have the shop working everyday from 6h to 12h, after which they go out to enjoy the town.

Update Stage 14 Features:
It took a while to complete, but it is finally here, The Treasury House of Winterhold. It holds as much as 1300+ 32kg gold ingots when it's full, and you can trade with Gustaf, the main responsible staff of the Treasury House who is equipped with as much as 25,000 spt. Working time is each day from 7h to 15h.
Apart from The Treasury House, there is a newly opened meat shop called "Hunter's Steak" which is led by the Heddle family. Magnus, with his wife Thorin is a passionate hunter that hunts just about anything you can wish for, including even whales. You can find whale meat in huge slices of 250kg each that is only seen in his shop. For now, you can't do much with it, but soon there will be recipes that will include whale meat handling. You can visit the shop on work days from 7h to 14h.

Update Stage 15 Features:
As the people gather more and more, the place comes to life stronger and stronger. Once collapsed city, now, Winterhold is completely rebuilt and unrecognizable from what it was after the collapse took nearly the whole city, luckily leaving the college unscathed. And what's even better, with more citizens grows the need for various shops, which makes Winterhold one of the places with most shops. You can buy pretty much anything you wish for, or will be in the future. This time two new families moved in Winterhold. Torsten and Randi Ingolf are specialized blacksmiths who only make non enchanted weapons, which means you can buy any weapon as it is in it's base form, note that some of the rarer weapons may not always be available for sale because of the materials needed to make them. You can visit their "Frostblade's Razor Shop" on weekdays from 7h to 14h.
Another shop that opened is the fruit and vegetables shop named Winterfruit slice which is owned and ran by Erik and Thyra Alfson where you can buy the top quality fresh raw fruits and vegetables. You can visit their shop from 8h to 15h on any day of the week.

Update Stage 16 Features:
With every magnificent place comes a big risk of someone trying to ruin it or get some advantages like stealing things of great worth. But this time town of Winterhold came up with simple yet sturdy solution. A brand new branch of Armored Guards was made in Winterhold along with Archer Guards standing on top of various constructions or buildings. There are plans to further secure the college with state of the art mage guards that will cast anything to stop thieves on their way into the College without the permission. But be careful, although warm and welcoming to visitors and travelers, Armored Guards are not the ones to play with, especially because they trained so hard and vigorously that they have so much health and strength, along with swords special made for them that can kill even with one swing sometimes. Just to let you know how special they are, their worth is at least 100,000spt. Apart from that, Winterhold now has people working on opening and closing the gates (gates are opened 6h-22h). But if they are closed when they should be opened, you have to set them open manually and it will continue to work properly, and if you happen to be outside the town when that happens, you have emergency entrance button to enter the town.

Update Stage 17 Features:
Now that Winterhold has become one of the most expanded and renewed cities in Skyrim, another exclusive shop just opened, the "Liquid Lightning". It is a specialized shop that is focused on selling and creating one of a kind potions, medicines and poisons for any purpose you can imagine. Owner of Liquid Lightning shop, Brynjar Berg says he and his wife Alvilda Berg spent much of their life mastering alchemy and now that they have the influence and wealth to support it, they opened the shop in Winterhold just a few houses away from their home. They carefully plant and pick the ingredients for their brews and they are one of the best at it. Inside the Liquid Lightning you can find their first Signature Line of potions that consists of a 10 distinct potions which can boost anything you need for a good time period, only thing is that you are going to need a lot of septims to get your hands on one of these as they can fetch tens of thousands of septims, but it's well worth it. Brynjar even said and announced their next Signature Line of potions is on the way. You can visit Liquid Lightning shop every day from 7h to 14h where you will be welcomed by the two workers who are employed by Brynjar and Alvilda as they can't develop new potions and work inside a shop at the same time, but Sigurd Thorvald and his lovely wife Adriana Thorvald are there to get you the right potion every time.

Update Stage 18 Features:
It's been quite a good fun for the people of Winterhold who returned to their home to build up the city. And now, they gradually filling all the houses with their professions and lives. Latest opened shop decided to sell mainly crafting supplies like metals, hides, leather and tusks. You can even find some rare versions and yet that is not all. New recipes will be made soon including whale meat introduced way back in Hunter's Steak meat shop for the first time.
You can visit the shop everyday from 8h to 16h and it's located near the Winterhold's temple of Julianos.
