I've added a new preset, Slot 4, and changed the Optional Requirements to match my screenshots. It looks a lot more like the original, especially since I'm using the same skin again.
I've also adjusted the other two presets in height, set the complexion on the first one instead of the fourth so you don't get old skin instead of freckles if you're not using the same skin I am, and adjusted the makeup for SG Female Textures Renewal's makeup tintmasks.
im probably an idiot but i cant get the presets to work, all i get are cleaner versions of all the default presets but nothing like the mod images, pls help
hey Danariel, Im trying to get this look https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59035 I believe thats your preset, but I cant find that facepaint, can you tell me where I can get it?
1. That's not my preset, the eyes are way too big. I have no idea where the facepaint came from, I've never seen it before. You'll have to contact the mod author of the armor mod.
2. Google "Harvest Feathers and Jasmine Flowers", look for the link with ZZSHOP in the name. You'll have to use the console to get them - they're wearable, kind of like jewelry. Hit ~ to bring up the console, then type Help "Harvest" 4 or help "Feathers" 4, then scroll up using Page Up to fine "Harvest Feathers". Then type player.additem XX000D63 1 where XX is the number the mod occupies in your load order. Equip it, and you're done.
Whenever I choose the preset, she is ridiculously-short and looks nothing like the screenshots (for whatever reason). Even the face structure is completely different. I understand that she won't be 100% exactly the same, due to having some different skin textures, but the face should be the right shape.
No idea why it's like that. ECE works fine normally.
Could it be due to having more range on the sliders, perhaps?
Well, I re-installed ECE and set the sliders to normal (instead of 2x). No change.
Had a chat with somebody else about ECE and presets (thank you, SlygoneLive!). They think it's primarily due to the skin textures. I had a similar issue with another ECE preset (where the body was normal size but face different to the original), and after removing the Mature Skin mod, the look improved somewhat but was still nothing quite like it was supposed to be. Not even the facial structure.really sorted itself out.
I just gave up and started making my own presets instead. Hopefully still get some form of reply, though. Would be nice to know what is causing this, just so I can either sort it (something I would rather do) or forget about it.
I just got it set and noticed the character is real short. I just used the skeletal height slider in ECE to move it to normal height and the face looks like it’s supposed to for me. I have other ECE presets which had odd issues I couldn’t figure out but this one works great. ¯\_(?)_/¯
I added a new preset, slot 4, that looks much more like the original. I also reworked the existing presets to make them taller, at -.06 instead of -.18, and set the complexion to the first one instead of the fourth (which was a freckled texture in the skin textures I use).
See the ECE page. You have to manually create it or save a preset yourself in game for it to show. YouTube tutorials help if you’re not sure - I found them super helpful.
