for fairness asking on both pages. this mod and vanilla ironic response fixes have a VMAD property conflict, which cannot be resolved without editing a script, correct?

well, xedit is saying the property section is override without conflict, but im still not sure.

on your screenshot there's no conflict in VMAD since VIRF.esp doesn't edit VMAD (VMAD ends before the "FULL - Name" in the left column). there's just a conflict on this record because VIRF.esp edits one properties (DNAM - General/Priority and Quest Dialogue Conditions) and RGF.esp edits another properties (VMAD) - to resolve the conflict you create a patch that contains this record with the edits of both mods.

appreciate the response. something I could have checked is if VIRF like RGF has scripts, but it doesn't, its just a plugin. if they both had a script with the same name, it would likely not appear as a conflict without override in the VMAD section. VIRF's edits to the record doesn't require a script, so its probably fine to merge its conditions into a patch that forwards RGF's script properties.

yes, Quest Dialogue Conditions aren't related to the quest scripts in any way, they are the conditions applied to all of the dialogues used by the quest

Is it on purpose that you can't select both the patch for requiem and OBIS?

Ok thank you.  It looks like just loading this after OBIS should be fine.  It just doesn't give you all the OBIS bandits.  :)

Mod is working great for me, except for one issue.

Two of the bandits in the camp never turn hostile towards me. I've tried paying the toll, then walking where the bandit tells me not to. Everyone except these two specific bandits start attacking. Also happens if I straight up refuse to pay and the bandit signals for the others to attack. Only way to aggro them is to attack them directly, and even then they will stop if I put my weapons away.

It's the same two bandits every time, the two closest to the levers that release the boulder traps.

I am using the Requiem patch and it seems I have one other mod in my load order that is conflicting with these bandit NPCs, but I am letting this mod overwrite that mod.

This mod doesn't change how the bandits start attacking you. I mean, it just prevents this scenario from triggering when it shouldn't. But if you trigger it, everything happens as it does in vanilla, the code that makes bandits attack you is not changed. So it's either a confict in some record or script or just your mods causing this bug in vanilla.

I've been doing some testing and I still have this issue even when I run the game with only Requiem, this mod and it's Requiem patch activated. Could it possibly be because I am using an older pre-AE version of Requiem? (5.2.3)

I was just looking to see if I was the only one having problems with this place. How lucky that I started with the Nexus and found out that it was a bug in the game. Thank you a hundredfold for this fix. This really should be included in the latest patch or at least in USSEP..

Thank you SO much for this!!! The Gorge area ALWAYS bothered me...

Would it work if installing mid-game??

Ok, guess that I'll find out by myself lol

Another thing though, have you ever noticed that bug where iron helmets seem to "disappear" from the heads of characters when they are looked at from a distance (character with iron helmet at close distance - all good, character with iron helmet from a distance - you see the character's hair clipping through its iron helmet)? If "yes", do you know of a fix for it?

I'm asking because you made the "farm hat fix" too and you're a talented modder...

      Thanks again!

I have the same issue, actually i noticed it on other helmets too, as well as on various armor/clothing when i used an armor replacer and even some static objects such as smelter coal piles or icicles. Looks like the game simplifies the geometry as you increase the distance from objects. I don't think it can be fixed, or at least i don't know how. For iron helmet you can "fix" it by completely disabling hair when wearing that helmet

Thousands of hours in Skyrim and I had no idea that there was meant to be an alternative to fighting my way through Robber's Gorge.

However, it doesn't seem to do anything in my game ... whether walking or riding, the bandits just attack when I approach.

Could be various factors - I've installed it midgame (although before reaching Robber's Gorge for the first time). I have OBIS and also several followers with their own horses added from NFF.

I'll try it again on a new save sometime.

Idk if it works when installing midgame. May also be some conflict, you can test it disabling other mods

I use Alternate Conversation Camera Tweaks but it's basically the default preset with a few tweaks that don't affect how my screenshot looks, except for disabled letterbox
