The Dragon Cult - A Draugr Overhaul requires a new game in order to function properly. It requires B.E.E.S. if you are not running the game version 1.6.1130+.
In The Dragon Cult, Draugr retain their vanilla race ability, with a few additions and adjustments.
Draugr finally benefit from the Armor Rating given by their Ancient Nord equipment, stronger as their level increases. Their variety has been expanded with a lot of new classes, and all of them have a selection of perks and spells, to be challenging even at higher levels. Additionally, excluding a few classes, Draugr can no longer use Shouts. Draugr who can use them only have access to Unrelenting Force, and to Elemental Fury and Subdue if the SimonRim Integration Patch is installed. Finally, an Ancient Nord Shield has been added to replace the Iron Shield Draugr used before.
Encounters have been changed to be random at each playthrough, to ensure a different experience each time. Draugr bosses have been made a bit more tougher than regular Draugr, but no longer use enchanted weapons. Generic Dragon Priests have also been removed. A few named Draugr have been made bigger, to depict better their power, and Red Eagle appearance has been changed to a skeleton, to be accurate with his lore.

The Dragon Cult also comes with a few soft requirements, which would improve the experience with it.
B.E.E.S. — Needed to make the mod work if not using Skyrim v1.6.1130+. powerofthree’s Papyrus Extender — Used to fix Draugr eyes not working when resurrected. Precision Creatures — Fixes ice skating Draugr when they use a spell while unarmed. Scrambled Bugs — Enabling “Leveled Characters” patch reduces the difficulty of Very Hard Draugr. Highly recommended. Locational Encounter Zones — Adds EZs to all Draugr placed in exterior places without additional edits to their references. Disable Draugr Combat Idles (Taunts) — Not a requirement but, if you don't like Draugr taunting you instead of fighting, this mod is what you are looking for. Just load it after The Dragon Cult.
Compatibility
The Dragon Cult is highly compatible with any mod that doesn’t directly edit Draugr spawn references, but still can’t be combined with other Draugr overhauls, and requires a patch for mods that add more spawns. Integration plugin to use alongside SimonMagus’ overhauls is provided in the installer.
