Changelogs
Version 1.01
Changed the file type from ini back to toml. For some reason, ini didn't work for such settings but toml did, which is what I originally had. I changed it to ini for the mod upload itself, thinking it would be fine, but it seems I was wrong. I think I mixed up TrueHUD (which uses ini) and TDM's settings format. My apologies!
If you've previously downloaded version 1.0, which uses the ini format, please download this update because the old version doesn't work at all.
Users of True Directional Movement may notice that the default lock-on node for dragons' the head, which can make it hard to aim and hit if they're in the middle of animations. You may also end up fighting the infamous Soulsborne boss known as The Camera when that happens. On top of that, you may notice there's no way to target the center mass of the body for a bigger hitbox.
This mod aims to change that with a few tweaks. FEATURES
Removed all target nodes for dragons except their head (NPC Head). I find those nodes useless unless you have a locational damage feature.
Added a new node, NPC Hub01. This node's attached to the center of the dragon's body, which is less prone to hectic movement.
When you first target the dragon, it will choose the body node by default, but you have the option to target the head by cycling.
The possible end result: smoother combat experience with less frantic camera movement, along with better chance to hit the dragon in both melee and ranged combat, especially if Dragon Animation Replace, which makes them stand taller. You can see in the demo below how melee users may be able to slip passed the dragon breath with a sprint in order to attack the body, while keeping the target locked. When it comes to aiming with ranged weapons\magic, you'll be able to change from head to body quickly, since the target cycling's shorter with only two nodes.
