About this mod

An overhaul of The Winking Skeever's interior, designed to both better match the exterior shape of the building, and to hopefully be a bit more visually appealing.

Introduction;

This mod was born out of dissatisfaction with the layout of the vanilla WInking Skeever, both in terms of it's incongruity with the shape of the exterior building, and also personal taste - I didn't like the original layout too much, and it didn't really seem all that tavern-y to me.

The Winking Skeever has therefore been completely redone.

Requirements;

-Skyrim with the latest official update.

-Latest Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.

Compatibility;

I designed this with compatibility in mind, but obviously there's only so much that can be done with a mod like this. To achieve said compatibility, I didn't actually alter the vanilla Winking Skeever interior that much - the architecture pieces and navmesh are all still there (I turned the lights off though), though hidden by an occlusion plane. If you need to, you can toggle off collision and float through the walls to access the old Winking Skeever. Theoretically this should even make the mod compatible with other Winking Skeever edits, but then I don't know why you'd be using both. That'd be weird.

-Fully compatible with ELFX, just download the patch and load it after both this mod and ELFX.

-Fully compatible with ELE.

-All quest-related furniture has been adjusted to the new interior. Gulum-Ei now has a private and secluded table on the second floor, and Malborn (from the Diplomatic Immunity quest) will be waiting for your clandestine meeting in the cellar.

-If a mod edits a few certain Solitude NPCs' AI packages, then a patch will need to be made. The biggest such mod I can think of is Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul by Shurah. To get around such an incompatibility, just load my mod afterwards. If there are any big issues I'm overlooking, do let me know.

-AI packages are fairly 'sticky', so If an NPC isn't behaving properly, go somewhere else and rest at least a day to let the packages reset. This only applies to installing this mod to an existing save game, and new saves shouldn't have any such issues, just plug and play.

-ELFX patch is available in the files section.

Recommended Mods;

-Bards Play Less by chinagreenelvis, because it's nice to have the bards shut up once in a while.

Installation;

Install via your method of choice and enjoy (I hope).

Additional Words;

If you have any suggestions or feedback, let me know.

As far I'm concerned, this mod is free use, you can all do absolutely anything you want with it. You don't have to ask for my permission, just go for it. The most important thing for me is that people are enjoying themselves.

That said, if you do decide to use this mod for anything, a credit as the original author would be nice. A link to see what you've made would be even better!

It should be obvious, but I also don't want to see this mod turn up somewhere where users are paying for it.

-Cleaned with SSEdit.

Credits;

-Bethesda
-Whiterun Interior Expansion Set by SpinaDeMul for his great wine rack model.
